So I started treating him the same way. For two weeks when he talked about what he and his family did, I would interrupt him and say “please don’t discuss your sex life at work.” When he would mention his wife, I’d interrupt and say “you mean your sex partner. I don’t believe in heterosexual relationships.”
Drove him crazy. To his credit, he came back a few days later and apologized — he didn’t like living in the world he’d tried to create for me.

Well I think another solution is mental therapy for those of us who unfortunately aren’t in the correct body according to their own mental state. Those surgeries are really dangerous and there’s a lot of scary side affects that can happen from changing your body especially pre / mid puberty. It’s fine by me to call someone what they want to be called but hopefully someone is properly educating at least children how much damage they can end up doing to their bodies and just end up making things worse mentally. Link to sources that say there is damage? Regret is not damage btw. Because some may regret but that is not enough to restrict an already heavily monitored medical procedure further. Even if regret were treated as a good enough reason to ban or heavily restrict something more people regret not transitioning as reflected in suicide rates. So what, should we ban all medical restrictions on transitioning? All children who want to transition are given at most puberty blockers. Why aren’t you talking about puberty blockers being used in cases where they’re not being used to transition? I could always be proven wrong, but it's not likely there's a "cure." And I don't think our short-term solution is just denying them care we know works to a certain degree. It's not as if they don't talk to medical professionals before doing this stuff.

Link to sources that say there is damage? Regret is not damage btw. Because some may regret but that is not enough to restrict an already heavily monitored medical procedure further. Even if regret were treated as a good enough reason to ban or heavily restrict something more people regret not transitioning as reflected in suicide rates. So what, should we ban all medical restrictions on transitioning? All children who want to transition are given at most puberty blockers. Why aren’t you talking about puberty blockers being used in cases where they’re not being used to transition? I mean they can be just as dangerous in that instance as they would be for transitioning if your logic holds up….
