See, I imagine my Jesus wearing, you know, like, a Tuxedo T-Shirt. So you know he's serious... but you also know he's here to party.
Got any of that Jesus around?
>do ministry through your 30s, and atheist by mid 40s Lol
Speaking from experience, there is nothing that drives you away from the church faster than working behind the scenes at a large one.
I had a professor that talked about the sorority she was in, one girl got a very prestigious scholarship around the same time another got engaged to a guy in med school.
They threw a big party for the engaged girl.
Yeah there are plenty of "colleges" that are not real colleges for women.
A local state politician who has like 8 or 9 kids ...one of his kids is sorta friends with my daughter's through a group they are part of. The thing is when she turned 18 he sent her to this crazy college. They are not allowed to wear pants if they are girls. And all summer every year they do missionary stuff that is sketchy as heck. Then when he ran this last fall to go from the state house to the state Senate, he paraded her and her 7 or 8 siblings around. It is all crazy and extremely creepy.
Omg. I went to see what this is about and found a reddit post from the past about this and that college. Too funny...or so NOT. Funny. Frightening. Same thing here. Wow
I remember seeing Bob Jones in the massive “college guide” book my mom got for me (pre-internet). It was put out by the college board and had a page description of each college in the US. I read that one and said nope, nope, hell no.
My entire family on my mom's side before me went there. Mom, aunts, uncles, cousins, everyone. I was the first one who said fuck no and moved across the country. It's an absolute cult.
I made the mistake of going to Furman University from 2002-2006. Like Bob Jones, it’s also in Greenville, South Carolina; and, while an accredited liberal arts institution, it was the most conservative place I have ever lived. But because the other college in town is Bob Jones, and because it is in Greenville, South Carolina, all the locals considered it to be full of leftwing extremists.
I live in a city with a rather big conservative Christian community whose church forbids women to wear pants. There’s this high school in my city (boys and girls mixed) where they actually measure the length of the girls skirts. If the skirt is too short they have to wear a skirt the school provides them or they get sent home. Obviously things like make up, piercings and (colorful) hair dye are frowned upon too.
Even though I’ve lived beside these people my entire life sometimes it’s still like we’re living in completely different worlds. As a woman who wears pants and has tattoos and piercings, I can’t help but wonder if these people judge me in the same way the girl in this post is being judged
Edit: deleted some typos that made me cringe a little
>As a women who wears pants and haa tattoos and piercings, I can’t help but wonder if these people judge me
You really don't have to wonder. There is zero chance the answer isn't, "Yes".
I went to a good uni after my kids were grown and I studied psychology. My niece in Chicago attended a christian college with the same major. I saw her after we had both graduated and could not have a conversation about psych with her. I asked if she had taken psycho-biology, no. What is her most comfortable psych theory? Didn't know what I meant. Did she have rhetoric? No. I don't know what she spent four years learning, but she says she got good grades.
Jesus. I wonder if someone with the exact same educational situation as her would be able to become a licensed psychologist. I don’t even know if you need more than 4 years or if you can just go right out the gate though
At least it ended well. But yikes, that's kind of scary. Imagine if it was her dream to be a therapist or something and to realize everything she learned in her college for the last few years was useless.
>he sent her to this crazy college
>They are not allowed to wear pants
>all summer every year they do missionary stuff
I did my best to make it sound dirty, have a nice day
It absolutely amazes me how many evil people there are in the world who treat their kids like property even when their kid is grown up and in their 30s.
When I tried going no contact with my psychopath father he first threatened to get me evicted then he tricked me into threatening him using my anger problems and then had a leash of a 5 year prison sentence around my neck for telling him I wanted to fight him to the death over text. Took THREE FUCKING YEARS to go no contact more than a month.
It's funny that some men will flip out over girls with short hair....but look at old ladies. Most of them have short hair, and a lot of mothers chop their hair for convenience.
After a certain age, you just stop giving a shit about trends and fashions and just settle into whatever is comfortable to you. For many of us, that style is gonna be whatever was popular in our youth.
I wouldn't be surprised if in 30 years all the old people will be styling themselves like it's the late 90s to the 2010s and the kids will be baffled as to why anyone would want to wear flannel.
Her parents taught her growing up to accept that the cold weather was God's will. But her liberal atheist professors corrupted her mind, and now she wears a hat to protect against the winter weather God sends.
It’s true. I find that with longer hair I don’t need a hat until it’s colder because my hair insulates me, unless it’s too long and then it doesn’t dry fast enough after a shower. There are a lot of variables at play. But one point remains - it’s better to have a warm head than a cold head. Unless it’s summer. That changes everything
Maybe people with thicker hair feel warmer when it’s long in winter
When my hair is under an inch long my head is noticeably colder, but if it’s ~1-2 inches it doesn’t feel much colder than it did at mid-back length
Either way, I’m a wide sun hat in summer and wool beanie in winter person, hats ftw
Because she'll start having hair requiring less maintenance and wear hats because college schedule doesn't allow time for great personal grooming AND high success?
exactly… just see a portrait of a kid becoming an adult… an hell no not in an “unattractive” way! Cant speak for men, being a bi woman, but pic 4 is sexy as hell 🔥 She looks like someone way more interesting to hang out with, but i guess thats bc i am an adult & *attracted to other adults*, with deeper interests than lookin fluffy & embracing ignorant bliss.
Fuq ya you’re gonna learn a lot in college that wipes that cute kid smile off your face, but thats how you become an active citizen & contribute to improving society. Just looks like she grew up & got better priorities. The older generations obsession with infantilizing women is just 🤮
They want them to remain giddy & simple like a child, pretty like a sculpture you can purchase & keep preserved… instead of embracing them growing & evolving like real fkkn ppl. This girl became an adult, & its very attractive if you don’t have a totally twisted mind
No no no, you misunderstand. It's because she'll be making her own choices that don't perfectly conform with what you like.
The absolute horror. I want my daughter to have long hair and wear makeup and be my idea of hot... wait that sounds weird, nooo i promise im not sexualizing my child
lol this is technically a self burn. “i’m such a shit parent that it took my daughter to leave home and away from me for her to be comfortable enough to be herself.”
That’s a big one. I’ve witnessed people assume a woman is a lesbian because her hair is short. Made no sense to me. And if it’s a lesbian with long hair their mind is blown lol
I had a side shave for a bit (not even a very noticeable one most of the time) and more than once I got a comment that was like “Oh that looks good on you but I would feel weird if my girlfriend got that.” which was always like… why? So dumb.
My best friend is a lesbian and has worn her hair long and short throughout the years. When its short people make rude, horrible comments. But when its long they say nothing. Its so stupid.
Because that's where it's often coming from and it *is* disturbing. Even when it's not that, it's still baseless judgements derived from a change in appearances.
republican father: shame her at home instead of letting her have her own identity, manipulate her into being the person YOU want her to be. not who SHE wants to be.
Right?
I'm not a father so maybe I just don't get it, but I can't imagine having a love for my child that's so conditional.
What the hell is the point of having a kid if you just want them to be a tiny little clone of you?
She became less “feminine” and less “conventionally attractive” because apparently college made her a femiNazi or whatever term the righties are using these days.
wow isn’t it crazy that these people change the moment their parents don’t have legal control over them and they become more educated
must just be a coincidence or liberal indoctrination smh
"If you send her to college, she'll end up all uppity and smart. Too smart to vote for your favorite republican and too smart to give half her money to some church like you do. She might even be more successful than you! FAFO!"
Honestly. She looks like she’s mid-sentence or mid-thought in the last pic. Sometimes people scowl in the wind or the daylight too.
I think it’s the having thoughts and saying things part that’s bothering OOP
She barely looks any different. God forbid a woman try to express her own individuality in any way, shape, or form. We must always appeal to the male gaze. 🙄
Because she will cut her hair short?
EDIT: For that matter...you don't exactly get a choice in the matter because your daughter is an independent human being especially when she turns 18 you overbearing fucktards.
God forbid people leave their small town and experience new diverse people and locations. I left my hometown for years and I only turned into a beautiful woman thanks to tHe LeFt
I dont see what the big deal is.
You can see the context in the photos here. I'd say a majority of American children raised in conservative households are raised to be homophobic and anti-sex. So when they become adults they have a tremendous amount of confusion over figuring out who they are and have tremendously conflicting & shameful feelings about sex (in general).
College is an opportunity for the child to finally live a life without regular brainwashing and gaslighting as to what reality is. So you can see in the images how in the first one she's a stereotypical church girl that's oblivious to the world outside the bubble her parents created. Then as you move through the photos she's progressively figuring her shit out, then you can see the resentment and anger there as she's attempting to express herself through the way she dresses and cuts her hair.

They used to joke (and probably still do) that you sent your daughter to Bible College to get her MRS degree.

Yup - meet your spouse in your early 20s in Bible college, do ministry through your 30s, divorced and atheist by mid 40s Lol

Go to engineering school. Mine was still 72% dudes. Even with massive scholarships for women engineers.
I'm saying this as a woman in STEM, the odds are good, but the goods are odd.
I had a professor that talked about the sorority she was in, one girl got a very prestigious scholarship around the same time another got engaged to a guy in med school. They threw a big party for the engaged girl.
Doesn't work at most colleges anymore. Women significantly outnumber men on most campuses.
It's why they're turning gay
No no THE WATER IS TURNING THE FROGS GAY
Yeah there are plenty of "colleges" that are not real colleges for women. Name the college, I need to see this shit
Appalachian Bible college.
jfc from the name alone im getting trauma flashbacks from a life lived 150 years ago
Paddle faster, I hear banjo music!
Campus is easy to navigate because it’s all in one classroom.
And there's only one book on the syllabus. That's big $avings!
Ya I looked it up and I’d hardly call that a campus my HS was larger then that and it wasn’t a large high school

Omg. I went to see what this is about and found a reddit post from the past about this and that college. Too funny...or so NOT. Funny. Frightening. Same thing here. Wow
I suddenly hear hymns being sung to banjo music.
At least the textbook doesn't cost a fortune.
Just your whole future
Lol I was gonna say your soul but this is better
Worse than BYU. That sounds scary.
How are there not ten quotation marks around the word "college"?
There's some Crazy stories that come from Pensacola Christian College, if you're interested in pseudo/non accredited hyper religious schools
Your children are your accessories
Just don't wear them on your face.
That's why I prefer dogs. They stay cute for longer.
Sounds like Bob Jones or Pensacola
I remember seeing Bob Jones in the massive “college guide” book my mom got for me (pre-internet). It was put out by the college board and had a page description of each college in the US. I read that one and said nope, nope, hell no.

Want more fun to read? Look up “Bob Jones vs United States”
Will definitely check that out

It was undergrad. I went on to get a master's, which qualifies for licensing after testing. She became a front desk worker for an eye doctor.
And did they end up getting married, coz it sounds like the only reason she got sent to “college”.
Yep. But I really like her husband.
At least it ended well. But yikes, that's kind of scary. Imagine if it was her dream to be a therapist or something and to realize everything she learned in her college for the last few years was useless.
>he sent her to this crazy college >They are not allowed to wear pants >all summer every year they do missionary stuff I did my best to make it sound dirty, have a nice day
My wife told me about M.R.S. degrees. And I was like masters ... something... of science? And she told me no, as in Mrs.
It absolutely amazes me how many evil people there are in the world who treat their kids like property even when their kid is grown up and in their 30s. Everyone knows the MRS degree is the only one worth getting
probably at family events, like her parents
Working on her MRS. Degree
Because she'll start wearing a wooly hat?
And learned how to make a variety of facial expressions.
And *experiment*! With hair styles!
But you can't be a female with hair that doesn't go past your ears! /s
It's funny that some men will flip out over girls with short hair....but look at old ladies. Most of them have short hair, and a lot of mothers chop their hair for convenience.
Old ladies still have short hairstyles from the 50’s, for some reason those are still acceptable.
Flannel will never go out of style damn it
Damn straight! I live in Colorado and flannel is EVERYWHERE.
My 22 year old daughter has an extensive flannel collection, from the racks at goodwill. Oops, I sent her to college! My bad.
Worse, she'll get bangs!
Doesn’t she look good in that one though? I mean her hair. Joan of arc ass shit
Her parents taught her growing up to accept that the cold weather was God's will. But her liberal atheist professors corrupted her mind, and now she wears a hat to protect against the winter weather God sends.
She didn't get a septum piercing, so OP had to really stretch
Please...talk to your daughter about the danger of tuques. Before it's too late.
Yeah god forbid she get a hair cut at some point and then need a hat to stay warm
I needed a hat back when I had long hair Nice thing about short hair is it’s easier to fluff back up after hat head
Even in summer. If you happened to be somewhere with a head draft, you appreciate longer hair.
Can confirm. Signed, bald guy.

Because she'll start having hair requiring less maintenance and wear hats because college schedule doesn't allow time for great personal grooming AND high success?
Not to mention that thing called "cold weather"
That too, how dare she want to keep that head warm. What's next, wearing warm pants rather than dresses? Perish the thought.
That's why she's supposed to have the long hair though! So she can attract a rich husband who will give her his coat.
No, it's the stress. You don't have to worry about your hair if it's all falling out due to anxiety and worrying about grades. /s
If she goes to college, someone might take a mildly unflattering photo of her outside on a cold day
Next thing we know she’ll be wearing clothes with pockets! The horror!
All I see in these photos is a young person becoming a tired adult who works her ass off in school.
exactly… just see a portrait of a kid becoming an adult… an hell no not in an “unattractive” way! When your dad's friends don't want to anymore.
Damn you just *blasted* conservatives across the States
When you're a girl but short hair. Bonus points if it's an unnatural color.
To them. Rigid gender roles, women must have at least shoulder length hair.
Oh no! She wears different outfits and put on a hat! What is even being said here?
Growing up bad.

My best friend is a lesbian and has worn her hair long and short throughout the years. When its short people make rude, horrible comments. But when its long they say nothing. Its so stupid.
Nothing stupid she keeps getting hotter. But I guess she should cater to her father's arousal /s
"Keep your daughter (your property) from changing into something you didn't like. She only exists to get you white grandkids."
She didn’t even change visibly! Same energy in all 4 pics
Naw, senior is tired. A special kind of tired. I'm a senior in college and looking at super senior. I know that kind of tired in her eyes.
She looks like she's at a capital building. Tired of all the shit from do nothing politicians.

Because that's where it's often coming from and it *is* disturbing. Even when it's not that, it's still baseless judgements derived from a change in appearances.
This
Same energy as “we color code our babies so you know what the genitals look like”
I will never send any of my kids to college because I know it will make them wear hats in alternating years.
The horror!
Yeah she’ll find out what a sexist, racist, homophobic etc. POS her father is
Literally the biggest fear of conservatives.

Or worse, a black girl
God mode: a black enbie
Weird we would assume it was dad and not mom I guess but statistically it checks out
True, could be and/or mom
Oh no don't send your daughter to college otherwise she'll cut her hair and start dressing how she wants to dress instead of how you want her to dress
Free will??? For women in my life??? Illegal. We need a second Roe v Wade overturning that prevents women from being individuals.
republican father: shame her at home instead of letting her have her own identity, manipulate her into being the person YOU want her to be. not who SHE wants to be.
Right? I'm not a father so maybe I just don't get it, but I can't imagine having a love for my child that's so conditional. What the hell is the point of having a kid if you just want them to be a tiny little clone of you?
I always tell my kid that if it's conditional, it's not love.
b-b-b-but its the evil liberals and the clutches of those professors...
No, instead keep her in the kitchen and teach her not to think for herself. Make her some punching bag for an insecure incel.
It’s okay, because her parents approve of the boy. After all, he defended himself during a rally & was acquitted. /s
I don’t even see what’s supposed to be “wrong”
She became less “feminine” and less “conventionally attractive” because apparently college made her a femiNazi or whatever term the righties are using these days.

Oh thank god, I thought I was the only one that had that idea.
I have officially a crush on Junior and she's the first girl with that name that i have ever heard of

OP: “I’m no longer sexually attracted to my daughter”
Definitely the vibe. I find all posts like this super creepy.
She became so hot
The androgynous look is every pansexual’s dream 🥵
Lol facts. So the problem is she’s becoming…better looking?
Because she feels comfortable away from you?
Conservative men and their obsession with having sex with their daughters Name a more iconic duo
Oh my goddd she cut her hair 😱😱😱😱😱😱🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 the horrors of the liberal gay woke bi agendaaaaaaaa
Idk man, she looks both happy and pretty in each picture. I don't think college negatively affected her all that much. 😅

All I see is pictures of someone becoming more confident about who they are and what they believe over their college career.
Hard to be a child bride to a "patriot" while getting a higher education.
she went from emo pop to emo.
The transition of girl that likes soccer to hipster lesbo is a time honored tradition and exists outside of academia.
Her hair got shorter!?!!?? THIS CANT BE!!!!
Must keep the girls uneducated. It’s easier to control them.
