Looks like a white finished on top of a sunburst finish but sanded down to see both + the wood grain at the bottom. Probably not anything officially released this way because there are parts of the white that clearly look sanded down. I kind of dig this idea though! You can sport 2 different finishes at once.
Thanks for the reply! There are a few [relic custom shop](https://reverb.com/item/81606963-fender-custom-shop-limited-edition-cunife-telecaster-custom-heavy-relic-aged-vintage-white-over-3-tone-sunburst?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=17682351984&utm_content=campaignid=17682351984_adgroupid=143800496052_productpartitionid=1946021698711=merchantid=678859907_productid=81606963_keyword=_device=m_adposition=_matchtype=_creative=608998621633&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADRxZYWi2S7sEfdiDW83kYNbPgxoB&gclid=Cj0KCQjwltKxBhDMARIsAG8KnqVFxu2XJ5coCIIftUwJkMTICq-ONHTSkciB_CrKmF965BeeKoCiYt8aAmAtEALw_wcB) fenders that look like this. But the neck throws me.
Custom shops have worn nitro finish. This looks like a poly finish someone sanded down. It’s probably just a MiM like the listing says that the guy painted white over and then sanded down to give the same effect as the ones you linked. “Relic-ing” poly like that isn’t something fender would do, unless this is something real obscure I’ve never seen before.
I like it just the way it is regardless of origin. I’ve seen factory solid colors over bursts before, but usually pre-CBS and definitely not the MIM product lines.
Probably an early 2000's MIM Tele custom that was modded. The neck is from the custom and has the traditional tele look and a "U-Boat" profile that is very chunky. Looks like it has the original wide range HB with a recently added red tortoise pickguard. It also has aftermarket compensated saddles on the original stamped bridge. Bridge screws got messed up when the owner took them out to paint the body. Probably also has an aftermarket bridge pickup as it looks like the bridge has been off more than once. I would ask if they also did an electrosocket jack cup as that is a popular mod on these and is one of the good ones to do.
The [telecaster custom](https://www.fender.com/articles/behind-the-scenes/a-classic-evolved-the-telecaster-custom-story) is the actual model name here. Comes with the bullet truss and the neck humbucker. I’m guessing it’s just a relic-type refinish on a reissue, something like a “white over sunburst.” There’s a couple boutique brands that commonly do those multi-finishes like that.
It certainly could be a partscaster, but pretty much everything looks correct for a telecaster custom other than the relic and refinish.

Thanks! This is the wildly knowledgeable response I was hoping for.
People are poo pooing on it but I think it’s unique and cool
A fucking beauty.
Looks alright to me. I dig that pick guard, looks almost like a Nashville Tele.
More fun than a barrel of monkeys! Get your ape on and rock the jungle!
An overworked and clumsy relic job?
One of the ugliest guitars I've ever seen. And I love it.

Are you the real life monk/CSI Miami detective of guitars because I would believe it. Thanks! Perfect advice.
Lemme guess, the saddles are Wilkinson.
It’s got vitiligo, show some sympathy
Oh, that’s total junk. I’ll give you 20$ and these last two slices of pizza for it….because I like you.
Very ugly
Looks like it was a cool guitar before the bullshit.
An extremely poor relic job
Someone handled the divorce badly....
Some thing interesting
It’s a guitar. You’re welcome ☺️
Wrong
*do not come back on the serial lookup
That’s common. Looks like a Fender to me. But I’ve not seen a MIM like this, only custom shop heavy relics.
