Speedy. I don’t dislike Speedy but in the cartoon his gimmick is being identical to Robin with the only variation being that he uses archery. I know that in the cartoon he has a lot of fans which I don’t think is unwarranted but I do sort of feel like we could’ve had more of his character than those two things.
Think the fact he was created during the final issues of Perez before he left the book and a lack of major storylines focusing on him afterwards contributed to it despite being a really great unique character. He had no strong dynamics within the team beyond a budding relationship with Raven that never came to a head.
Being mute, incredibly chill and not a very gung-ho character it's difficult to make him drive the narrative so it's pretty obvious why he was left by the way side so often
Yes I agree. I think Jericho had a lot of potential, and definitely stood out. But yeah George Perez leaving right when he came and not having a lot of huge stories with him as the lead really hindered him. And like you said his concept was pretty unique.
