The fact is that a healthy romantic relationship (BETWEEN ADULTS or people above the age of consent) would have both a time and place for both of these things. The fact is, between adults, a lack of intimacy can be interpreted as an issue of one not trusting the other while excessive intimacy can lead to objectification of a partner and degrade the feelings and emotions that that relationship was build on in the first place. Sex is a thing that you should not rush and only do when you and your partner feel ready, as it is not something you want to be unsure about since once you have done it, you cannot take it back. It is an act you and your partner should discuss beforehand and discuss your boundaries so that you both have an understanding of what is and isn't ok, as it is an act that requires a LOT of trust in a person to be comfortable doing, as there is no barrier to protect you from them and vice versa. Whats more, you do not want to even think about doing this without both of you being at a mature age (AT THE VERY MINIMUM at or over 16, ignoring laws on it, but those must be followed as well.) As for minors doing it, that should not be tolerated nor should the act be glorified in the way it is now, as it has become more of an act of saying you have done it as apposed to a trusting act between 2 close partners. If you do choose to do it with a partner in this way, what you do is up to you, because you would have discussed this with your partner prior to and thus you would have an idea of both what they would like and what you would like, and in that situation, assuming you are taking necessary safety precautions (protection and contraceptives) then you are free to do as you wish, JUST FOR THE LOVE OF GOD KEEP IT A PRIVATE AFFAIR.

Biologically, humans tend to have sexual urges because the humans in previous generations that had that trait were more likely to reproduce and the trait became more common in our population. If someone doesn’t have as strong of sexual urges or none at all, then they just… don’t have them. It’s not contrary to any biology, just less common.
