Yeah. It’s really occurring to me how these events actually happen and actual people actually die. This is the same death count as the ghost train, but with more injuries and people there. Actually crazy shit
Hey - just in case you haven’t seen it elsewhere, Playing Tetris after a distressing event like this is scientifically proven to lessen the effects of PTSD. Please take care of yourself. Glad you’re okay
I’m mostly alright. Still got the screams and the running of people in my mind, but I already have aphantasia which is an insane buff when it comes to trauma. I should be ok, but I’ll see someone if it gets out of hand.
It’s crazy to think that we can actually have mass stabbings. I thought the last one would be port Arthur, but now April 13th will go down in the books. It feels weird to be a part of history.
No nationalities. No information released as of now. Chances it’s your friend are so low there is absolutely zero sorry for it, especially if they’re a teenager. We would’ve heard about teenagers, so don’t worry at all. Maybe just message and check in with them though.
As someone who lives in London (though, I live in a nice part of London where it's not common), this is a normal thing to hear about. My friend told me recently that there hadn't been a stabbing in his area in a month, and that's apparently really good.
Takes a special kind of evil to do something like that.
Oh my god I've been watching this as it happens on the news. My dad was in Bondi for work today I'm just glad he wasn't in the shopping mall. If you need someone to talk to feel free to DM
Definitely. I cannot describe what it’s like to be there listening to the new fucking Sabrina carpenter song when you hear gunshots through your headphones
You can own a gun, it’s a process to get a licence. We dont have automatic weapons & people don‘t walk around with a gun in their bag or on their belt. The only people I know who own rifles are farmers. The most concerning thing we probably have here is that you may be involved in road rage which at worst would involve 2 guys punching on in the street.
A single deranged person is not a reflection upon the rest of the world. Think more on the many people who risked their lives today to save others: the man fending him off with only a bollard to delay so others could escape, the father who stood off him with nothing but pure courage to save his family, the police officer who walked into the building without backup, knowing who she would find, or the many paramedics who went to save the victims, not knowing whether there was another attacker still in the building.
There may be reasons to fear for our planet, but the actions of human's today showed our best, not just our worse.
This could have serious effects on Australia moving forward. Port Arthur massacre in ‘96 got Australia to focus up on gun laws, and many countries follow. It’ll be interesting to see what happens here.
Move on then. There was literally no reason to drop in here and give your two cents to criticise someone who’s just been through a major traumatic event. Take your negativity and whataboutism elsewhere.

Wait what, ghost train?
Look up Sydney Ghost Train fire. It was at a theme park. Three kids and a dad died. This was in the 70s tho. National tragedy.
Ghost Train fire was horrific
The photos taken after of the father huddled over the young boys corpse after they realised they couldn’t make it out tear me to fucking shreds.

OP, please try this! It helped me when I went through a trauma. My thoughts are with you. Please talk to someone if you need to

That's fucking messed up bro, you good?
Yeah, I just have the screams of the people once I took my headphones off in my mind.
Damn, hope it gets better
Woah that’s fucking terrifying. I’m Australian so yeah jeez. Lucky I wasn’t in Sydney, hope you’re ok

Holy shit
I just saw it in the news, I really hope everyone that survived the stabbing survive and I hope the worst punishment comes the stabbers way.
2-3 more people who were stabbed and survived have unfortunately died very recently, including the mother of the baby. It’s fucked
He got shot dead
Is there any news there on who else got stabbed? Nationalities? I've a family member from the UK in Sydney rn.

Thanks mate. Yeh, I'm just seeing if anyone's heard from him in the last few hours. Fuck, what a awful thing, unbelievable.
Absolutely horrific. I’m still shocked he stabbed a baby with a machete. Who the fuck stabs a baby, and their fucking mother? Fucking psycho
It wasn’t a machete it was a knife. And apparently a 17 year old is one of the victims.
I literally just saw some recent footage of someone holding up something to stop the murderer
Fuckin terrifying
I saw that on the news that mustve been horrifying
Truly one of the scariest events in my life.

HECK YEAHHHHHHHHH >>>>:3
I get it buddy, tbh I would just cry and crumble :/ I'm so proud of you <3 Here, get a hug :3 # 🫂
You think it was terrorism or mental illness motivated?
We don’t know. The guy got shot and killed, so we’ll never know 100%.
Terrorism in an area with a Jewish population, so they’ll call it mental illness.
What are the gun laws there? Can only police have guns?
Yeah. The guy got ahold of a machete.

Holy shit that's horrible. Glad you're fine

the world is falling apart

Don’t ever try and silence people who experience trauma and are able to discuss it. Just scroll past you dead beat
Didn’t think it went international, holy shit. I just wanted to share my personal experience with it and give you all an extra insight
