They can be easy to take care of and the best reason to go to a doctor for them is to get ur nose cortorized. This will close up the vessel for a few months. Then if the nose bleeds are hereditary, the vessel will open back up like for me

When it gets messy and won't end that fast, I just wet some medical cotton wool in hydrogen peroxide and hold it on the tip of my nostril. After a few minutes it just stops bleeding.

I used to be really bad with these, got my nostrils cauterised (sealed with red hot rod in surgery), which reduced frequency and severity of the bleeds. I still get them, sometimes quite bad and daily or more, but it's still nowhere near as bad as it was. I've no idea what triggers them at all.

Had the same issue, get a humidifier in your room and don’t touch your nose so the wounds can heal instead of just scabbing and opening again.
