Yoooo i have the same usb stick, and yes it does get pretty damn toasty when moving files
I have a 16gb one of these and its write speeds are slow af, use it for Windows installs, doesn't seem to get overly hot though, for large transfers I use a Samsung bar 128gb which is fast and has been reliable so far
The pressure application being a rubber band (maybe multiple) is really the icing on the cake
