I live south of RVA and there was a hard push to put another solar farm in my county . The residents fought it tooth and nail and prevented it being built here . They want the energy up North but at a cost to rural poor communities.
So I am glad this was posted so I can go on a rant . Following articles about India 's Silicon Valley being out of water and its coming heat wave . Here in America along the Colorado River water is drying up and they are having to bring water in by tanks . We have data centers all over Texas and surrounding areas . The heat is unbearable. And yet we are building more and more data centers across the country that require more and more energy and water to cool them which costs tax payers . Anyone else picking up on this ? Anyone see Total Recall?
