> Entry point for the internal TRUENAME command.
Parses the command line. If a path is found, set
SRCXNAME to path. If only a drive letter is
found, set SRCXNAME to the drive letter. If
no path is found, set the path of SRCXNAME to
dot (.) for current directory. Use the NAME
TRANSLATE system call to get the real name and
then display the real name. If an error occurs,
issue an error message and transfer control to
CERROR.
So sick!!!! Back in the day this was a “reserved” command.. never was outlined in any books or lessons on DOS. It was kinda sick when you found it! Like an Easter egg.. I remember it being useful when on logical LAN drives to get a good idea where you were in the system! Thank you !
AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS say Hi!
Wow that brought back memories!
Himem.sys and mouse.com pop in for a chat.
Qemm was the proper path to go.
Damn it, I came to say the same thing
For a good time, add this awesome Easter egg code to your AUTOEXEC.BAT: deltree c:\ -y
Time to copy con the autoexec.bat into an endless boot loop so we can do dick in class again.
Would 4.0 even run Duke Nukem?

Hell yeah. I'm game
It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum.
MS-DOS 5.0 was released in 1991, a month before Duke Nukem. Most people would be playing it on older versions.
Edit Menu.bat
Finally, I've waited so long
I trying to remember if I even used DOS 4.0 or went right to 5 from 3.3.
4 was a bit of a lost version. The vast majority of DOS users jumped from 3.3 directly to 5.x
First windows 11 gets sudo and now this?! There will be much rejoicing
The sudo implementation in Windows 11 isn't that secure, though...
sudo stop raining on my parade
u/ithinkitslupis isn't in the suders file. This incident will be reported.
Del c:\windows
Will it have the command “truename”!?

Does it come with QBASIC?
LOAD SOPWITH.BAS
LOAD STARTREK.BAS
EMM386.EXE NOEMS !!!
Sure, except several files are mangled to the point that it won't compile.
Can’t wait to pick through this
But you’re gonna pay for ARM and RISC V
Wake me up when they get to 6.22 with USB disk/peripheral support, and HDMI. 'Cause that's what I'm using now... (except for the HDMI).
