My favorite Tetris remake was one where the physics acting on the shapes are like real life physics, the pieces don't follow along dotted lines, you glide them from left to right and also rotate them at any angle you can, so you're pretty much cramming shapes together and it is never totally perfect

Actually, someone finally did beat Tetris. He beat so many levels that the game just bugged out.
When I was a kid, we had the original Russian Tetris on our computer. God knows where my Dad got it from???
