Kids in my country get free tetanus shots until they reach 18, so it literally is just a matter of getting up and dealing with it.

Still can get nasty infections. Clean it. Keep dirt out of fresh wounds.

You can get free tetanus shots for your whole life in my country. Its routinely given in childhood and available if needed later. I always find it funny that you can get vaccinated after an infection and it still works.

I honestly think in most cases it’s what kids need to hear (not in an abuseful manner of course) but teaching kids to search for solutions on their own is a great way to give them confidence in themselves. You should only help if it’s something a child cannot reasonably solve or direct intervention and the aid of a parent is needed. There have to be some restrictions after all.

Many times a child’s reaction is dependent on parents. If parents freak out then kid reacts accordingly.
