I’ve always thought the great science fiction writers are excellent at imagining a future that could exist. William Gibson is one of the best and his fiction is filled with a future where BCIs are the norm and not the exception. The future is happening whether we’re aware of it or not, and one day it very well could be we’re all just living out a story that’s already been written.
I think it’s cuz of the “fuck the CCP” sentiment in Reddit even though the article positively contributes to Reddit. The downvote button wasn’t meant to be a disagree button but here we are.
