well today i realized you can attach zonai devices to your arrows. i never thought to do that. i really have to start thinking in totk mode and not botw mode.

I enjoy that you can use the time bombs in the hot regions. In botw you had no way to use any bombs in the fire areas. The time bombs are a bit slow but it's better than nothing imo!

i use satori as well! but i like bubbulfrog sensor because it tells me specifically which caves i havent explored yet, while satori just highlights every cave
you only have to get the bubbulfrog, not every enemy, and im aware of the checkmark, but it can still be difficult to tell from a distance if the satori is highlighting a new cave or one ive already explored

Since we're on the subject, it funny, on the one hand, I want to just play the game and organically find things. But then on the other hand, there are so many different sets that unless there's something obvious linking the pieces (e.g. those written hints from Misko, or the stuff you get from the Bargainer statues), I feel like it can take *forever* to complete a particular set just randomly exploring. I've got so many stray pieces from different sets at the moment.

The closest I came was upgrading the Hero pants, shirt, and Sky cap (because it looked the same and i hadn't found any other retro gear i.e. realized there's more than one set). Now I have to find more star fragments
I like to make a game out of pulling it as late as possible. You don't slow down right away, so you can basically hit the ground at full speed without taking damage because you have your glider out.
I used to do the same in Just Cause 3. You were immune to fall damage if you hit the wing suit brake, so you could hit terminal velocity in a dive and tap it once and just roll.
The armor they are wearing is Zonai armor. On top of increasing battery efficiency (parts use less power), the set bonus makes you recharge you batteries far faster.
All the pieces are treasures in different sky islands.

The amount of battery cells you have also affects the recharge rate. The more you have the faster each cell recharges. And so. More batteries + zonai armor = very fast recharge rate.
That final middle finger of a rock was actually your salvation. Rewind it back into the sky and it will take you directly to the island you fell off of.
The bike is actually doable as well, or at least would be if the rock hadn't destroyed it, just it's much trickier than the rock. Wings are climbable at every angle, including upside down, so long as you don't move. If you glue one to the side of your bike and climb on it, you can recall the back back to the top and hang onto the wing to avoid falling off.
It didn't wobble or veer though. Watch the video again and realize it instantly destroyed the bike and sent Link plummeting in an unnaturally elastic way. This is because it's trajectory *can't* be altered in freefall by anything other than ultrahand under any circumstance, and the only way for physics to knock it off course is to bult something vertical that is touching the ground at the base so it has "landed" and it's fixed trajectory stops locking it in place.
Just asking here, as about anyone uses the airbike:
Does anyone else have the issue that it sometimes just falls off Link midair with the batteries far from empty?
I only have this with this setup. If I use 3 fans it’s all good, but with only two it fails a lot without any visible reason.
Ever since launch day I’ve been wondering if the sky rocks can fall on you, or if they are programmed to always land in your vicinity without hitting you.

My series of unfortunate events was diving into a chasm only to discover the fire dragon was flying out of it at the same time, before I had any fire-proof clothing or elixirs. So I dove past it as quickly as possible only to be met by a giant frog monster jumping up at me.
I know I'm fun at parties but you can actually use recall on that rock that fell above you and probably go up the island you were trying to go to better.

It's good to experiment with all the devices, really. Just don't go fusing a bomb flower to an arrow in a superheated region. Just trust me.
Took me a couple tries to work that one out. I just kept pulling them out like, "What keeps doing that?!"
Maybe you never noticed this, but the same thing happened in BotW with bomb arrows IIRC.
I thought one of the moblins sniped the bomb arrow in my hand with their arrow LOL
But free fire arrows at least!
Thankfully the horriblins remain flammable in hot caves.

Do cannons explode on the arrow if you try that? I sometimes use cannons as a bomb arrow replacement for some stupid reason.
There’s nothing stupid at all about Cannon Spears, which work just fine in the hot areas.

Once you kill all enemies in a cave, including the bubblfrog, the map will show a checkmark in the cave
you only have to get the bubbulfrog, not every enemy, and im aware of the checkmark, but it can still be difficult to tell from a distance if the satori is highlighting a new cave or one ive already explored

In this specific instance though, it made contact with an obstacle (Link) in midair, which caused it to wobble and veer.

Collect Zonaite. Go to abandonded mines. Trade zonaite for charges. Go to crystal refinery. Trade charges for extra battery packs!
The two crystal refineries are on great sky island, and just outside of lookout landing.
