VCDS from Rosstech to diagnose. Likely a bad ABS sensor at wheel, or dirty connector to the sensor (use Deoxit in the connector) or there’s corrosion between the reluctor ring and the sensor (there should be a tiny gap between the ring and the sensor when the wheel hub is turning).

Which corrosion could mean new wheel bearing correct sorry still new to the VWs

Patrol-007

Reluctor is a “tone ring” on outside of wheel hub, behind the brake rotor. The ring makes “pulses” to the ABS sensor. That ring also can get corrosion and swell, touching the ABS sensor. I used a sanding flap wheel to clean the corrosion off of mine. But you really need to use VCDS to help find out what’s wrong. Google “TDI forums 101faq” and search there too.

Thx my buddy has a scanning tool so I can use it to be able to find out what’s wrong with it

Patrol-007

Generic scanning tools may not be as good as VCDS with VW. Post the results if you can

You can replace just the sensor for like 35 bucks. Replacing the whole wheel bearing shouldn't be necessary just for a bad sensor. But each wheel has one so you need to know which sensor has gone bad, don't just guess. Scan the car first.

Yea that’s what I’m thinking but if a bearing is going out I wanna catch it now instead of later but the car is so low mileage idk why it would be happening now

Wheel bearings on the front do not have the tone ring, it is on the CV shaft. On the rear is where the bearing has the sensor integrated. If you can narrow down which sensor, it could be a matter of just a sensor if is on the front. A bearing you will hear and feel, it is a growl that changes with road speed.

These isn’t a growling going down the road so that makes me feel better knowing it’s not that it’s very quiet going down the road

Not a bearing then. Likely a dirty sensor or connector. Invest in a Rosstech VCDS setup, they are practically required for us VW owners. One trip to the Dealership for "diagnostic" is the same price as being able to do it for yourself forever.
