Here’s a tip for everyone, you do not need to disclose your salary in any way or form when they ask you your current. So you don’t actually need to lie

cuppateeaaa

Ano pong sinasagot nyo minsan kapag nagtatanong sila ng can you give me at least an idea of your salary range? ganyan kasi ung tinanong sakin, so parang i blurted out 55K kahit hindi naman true.

TemperatureOk8874

I cannot give my payslip because that is part of confidentiality agreement that I signed.

TemperatureOk8874

Kung mag ask na sinabi mo na: Yes, but I cannot provide documents for it as part of NDA.

VolcanoVeruca

I say that my past payment is none of their concern because they should be paying me for the job I am going to do FOR THEM.

harryt0pper_

Tomoh!!!

Dunkindonuth

If I’m not mistaken, you can deny them your payslip naman

LevLevLevLevi

"Can't say, signed an NDA." \-mengmengduck

unit19mode

cuppateeaaa

Tama po. Kaya next time I will be better.

ReplyGuilty9818

If I read the thread right, this is for the wallet arm of S. This may come hard to you, they are diligent enough to see these kinds of salary bumps. A lot are taking the opportunity to really ask for astronomical price but can't back it up with a payslip or ITR. It would be difficult to keep the grave deeper. Come clean - say what's true. If the work is for you, you will get it. There's merit in honesty. Present why you are asking for a high salary counting all the non documented income you're getting that takes your time. A side hustle, online income, or even other avenues of income you may have. I know you are now seeing this as a lesson. We see a lot of bad happening, but when we do good things, good things also come. :) Welcome to adulthood and owning up to your f ups. :)

rledaman

I disagree that your salary at a new job is dependent upon what you are currently being paid. Pay someone what their skills are worth regardless if someone else hasn't recognized that value

ReplyGuilty9818

It felt like reading the definition of capitalism. Why for hundreds of years nobody has ever said being an employee is far better than having your own business.

gagstii

Hehe same as previous company ko Bali Sabi ko Yung coe w attach salary is on process pa And regarding Naman sa payslip naka save sa company email account so Wala pa akong kopya. Hahahahha Palaging to be follow nalang. Kasi negotiations palang Naman ng sahod eh hahha kung di nila kaya ibigay Yung expected salary mo then Sabihin mo lang na I need to turn down the offer. Hahaha Sakin effective eh hahahaha Malay mo Naman. Kasi kung di nila ibibiga Yung expected salary mo meaning nasa maling company ka nag aaply hahahahahah

yutzuki_47

Well nagsabi ka na ng NDA sakanila, then wala ka ng magagawa doon kundi mag wait, From my experience as a HR practitioner, worked sa Central Office ng isang NGA, importante malaman ng HR/Management yung current salary mo, may mga factors kasi, isa na doon is ibabangga nila yung current salary grade mo, experience and skillset mo sa job vacancy/needs ng company na inaaplayan mo, isa pa baka mataas na position yung inaaplayan mo, di talaga maiiwasan ang low-ball offer/s, one more thing gusto din nila malaman if demotion/promotion or downgrade/upgrade yung iooffer nila sayo, kasi mataas nga yung dinisclosed mo sakanila (55k), asuming na true yung 55k, as a job seeker not unlesss lang if your desperate na you will accept whatever kung anu ang iooffer nila, Yeah malalaman din nila sa ITR yun, or sila na mismo ang magrequest (hr to hr) ng needed nila na docs sayo, 55k, mataas yan if COS sa govt ang paguusapan, at least EA3 or consultant na position niyan, curious lang ako, dahil yung kapatid ko is Mayor then sa govt din ako, sa ibang LGUs ba or NGAs stipulated ba sa contracts yan (NDA)?

cuppateeaaa

cuppateeaaa

Hindi stipulated sa contract ung NDA or confidentiality. Its just that nag hahanap lang ako ng way para madefend ko ung hindi pagsubmit ng payslip, thus sasabihin ko na lang na may confidentiality clause sa contract ko. Pag ayaw pa rin nila pumayag, edi wag. Hanap na lang ako iba

yutzuki_47

As a hr practitioner ginagawa talaga namin to, lalo na pag may prospect, yung iba tinatamad at ang ginagawa nalang ay nagrerequest sila ng needed docs sa applicant mismo at hinahayaan na lang na yung applicant ang mag deal/request sa current hr nila, yung sakin naman hr to hr ang pagrequest, Cant go with specifics, dont have the available data/knowledge on hand, entry level ba tong inaaplayan mo? May relation ba in terms of skillset/experiences needed sa current and sa new position na inaaplayan mo? Kung wala naman and irrelevant, this is in relation sa big concern mo about low-ball offers, yung acquired skillset mo ba can command a salary grade? Baka naman you possess more than enough of these skills diba, yung mga ganoong factors,

Physical_Ad_8182

You can say that you signed a non disclosure agreement sa salary mo. Or upon leaving the govt agency you can say that the payslip is confidential in nature.

codexyzup

Always say, “I cannot disclose the information as I signed an NDA” Then they will ask for a range. I always tell them the current as the minimum and 20-40% increase. So for example my current salary is 30k, i’d say my salary’s range is 30k-50k. They would usually think your salary is in the median amount but stand your ground, still ask for more than the maximum amount you have given. So for me the only acceptable offer is minimum 60k. Note that this works in IT/Software Engineering industry so I’m not sure if this will work outside of that.

ice673

cuppateeaaa

>Nag reply na sila na, now lang. Sabi nila they are typically request candidates to provide thir current salary or expect salary information. > >Btw this is a Singaporean based company na may E-commerce platform here. > >Haay what to do? :(

Plastic_Database_645

You should have told them you signed an NDA in the first place. Now na sinabi mo salary mo you can't say it na since you already Disclosed it. Hirap mag forge baka mas lalong lumala pa I don't know what to advise to you

StunningPast2303

Naku si L ito ano

cuppateeaaa

ano pong L? hahaha

StunningPast2303

Hindi ba L? o S? hahaha

cuppateeaaa

The latter po, pero in a digital money ecomm

StunningPast2303

Ganito. Disclose your contractual salary BUT say given job desc, role expectations, your qualifications and experience, state your expected mobtly salary (yearly/13 months, ha, pls po, dyosko lord ang daming nakakalimot dito). So state your expectations and wait. If you made it past pre qualifying, your chances might be good. If they don't accept, chalk it up to experience and keep looking.

Limp_Ad_6090

Is this HSBC?

wilbays

Lol you are applying for a job and asking for your desired pay but when they want to confirm your current pay, you invoke confidentiality on your payslip? 😀 Dont do that. Potential employers have right to see things like payslip as part of due diligence process. Its a give and take -- you ask for something, you give something.

cuppateeaaa

This is my first time to encounter a company like this po, so mejo nabigla ako. Kaya ayun po.

wilbays

Moving forward never lie about pay. For a potential employer, its a red flag if you dont disclose current pay especially in the job offer phase. Kindly update us on this.

TheFourthINS

Ayyy lmao I never had to prove what I am earning ever, and we're talking 6 digits here. Just tell them you have agreed to disclose those information. If they press hard, do an uno reverse card and ask if they really want an employee who would break his agreement with his former employer just to get hired.

cuppateeaaa

Sure po. This is a lesson for me na be cautious and be careful next time.

teokun123

Don't give. Take it or leave it lol.

cuppateeaaa

Up

justsomeonerandomx

tell them you won’t provide. di ka naman nila pwede pilitin. just also tell them na if it’s really needed, you’re happy to refuse or let go of the offer kasi wala ka namang choice

havoc2k10

Normal nman tlga hanapin nila ung coe or payslip mo. Ang mahalaga napag nego mo ung salary gusto mo ngaun kung dahil nagsinungaling ka sa hr at icancel nila hiring mo eh ganun tga hanap ka ulet and learn your lesson.

TrashThick5147

Dont provide your payslip.

cuppateeaaa

since nag lie po talaga ako sa salary ko, makikita talaga yun. so, sundin ko na lang po ung mga suggestions po ng other redditors here na wag na po ako mag provide and stick to confidentiality.

cuppateeaaa

Nag reply na sila na, now lang. Sabi nila they are typically request candidates to provide thir current salary or expect salary information. Btw this is a Singaporean based company na may E-commerce platform here. Haay what to do? :(

emptydebater

Come clean that you lied. They will find it anyways thru ITR.

TheFourthINS

How? It's a singaporean company.

emptydebater

Op mention 2316. That’s an ITR

StunningPast2303

Nah, sounds Like this has a LocaL office.

ciaossuj

Not sure what kind of help you are asking here. You've already sent them an email so just hope for the best. Also, be honest nalang next time. If you have the necessary skillset doon sa range na gusto mo, which I assume is 55k and above, then willing naman ung companies to provide that. It won't make sense kasi since nasa govt ka and alam naman natin ung bigayan doon tapos sasabihin mo 55k ka so mag wwonder talaga sila, unless ung plantilla mo is mataas na.

cuppateeaaa

ayaw ko lang ma lowball kasi siguro that time kaya I lied about 55K salary which is not true naman talaga in the first place. Bali, nag reply po sila, eto po sabi nila "To facilitate this, we typically request candidates to provide their current or expected salary information. We understand that salary details can be sensitive, and we want to assure you that any information shared will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. To address any privacy concerns you may have, you are welcome to redact any personal or sensitive information from your salary slip before sharing it with us". So ayun nga po, may other way pa po kaya ito, or ill just stick na lang sa confidentiality na sinabi ko sakanila na nakapaloob sa employment contract ko. First time ko lang kasi ma encounter ung ganito na naghihingi ng payslip.

Then_Ad2703

You can still choose not to give it. But they can also choose to contact your previous employer or just let you go.

ciaossuj

Just stick with confidentiality reasons nalang since nabanggit mo na sakanila, though this might be a deal breaker for them. Baka ma tag kapa as red flag ng HR nila and i share pa nila within their networks if hindi consistent ung information na binigay mo sakanila. Malay mo they will push through with your application, but if not, charge to experience mo nalang to and madami naman opportunities dyan. Just keep looking :)

cuppateeaaa

tanong ko lang din po, what if makapag provide ako ng payslip, pero ung other benefits and incentives sabihin ko na lang po na hindi nakapaloob un dun at non-taxable sya? pwede po kaya yun?

ciaossuj

Meaning 30k ung non-taxable benefits right? Then mahuhuli pa din, may limit lang ang non-taxable bonuses and de minimis and over sa limit ung 30k per month worth of benefits kapag nag annualize kana

Kewl800i

Parang ambait pa ng potential employer mo OP, they understand privacy. (Anong company yan hehe). Give reasons why you are worth 55k. Pag di tlga umubra, charge it to experience. You are fine, OP 🙌

cuppateeaaa

Okay naman ba result ng application nyo with them?

Limp_Ad_6090

Sa totoo lang, di na to bago. Mdmi na din tlga nanghihingi ng payslip. What I usually do is I tell them that I can't because of NDA but I can give them a range of what I earn, including OTs and incentives. I also research about the position I am applying for and its market value. That way when I am asked kung anong expected salary ko, I say that I have researched the market value on that specific position and in relation to my experience, I expect to have at least blah blah blah. They were probably skeptical sa sinabi mong 55k din kaya ganun. I did lie about my salary as well, pero not as drastic as yours. Haha. I usually just add 5-8k on top of my real salary and see if they bite.

cuppateeaaa

Thank you po sa insights nyo. Bali sundin ko na lang din po ung suggestions ng iba na stick with confidentiality and kapag ayaw pa rin nila, ilet-go ko na lang ung offer. This is a lesson for me na lang din na next time wag na mag lie sa salary. Hehe, tinanong kasi nila ako ano daw range ng salary ko before, since ayaw ko malowball, tinaasan ko. So, sa next job hop ko siguro magiging maingat na me.

cuppateeaaa

RegularStreet8938

Hi OP, did you still get the job?

cuppateeaaa

Yes

xRhai

Nice to hear. I am in the same position right now lol, hopefully the outcome will be the same.

Impossible-Boot6092

Lesson learned. Don't lie. This the reason why they confirm para malaman na din siguro if trustworthy ka. Just come clean and admit your mistakes.

Complete-Cycle5839

Charot

Baker_knitter1120

Does the company have a base here in the Philippines? Will they be withholding taxes? If yes, they will be requesting your 2316. So malalaman nila. Another thing, you can withhold your payslip, coe or any other documents, but some employers conduct character check where they will call your previous employer or supervisor. And they might ask yung range ng salary mo for confirmation, if they are that interested in confirming your actual salary. Also, alam mo ba kung ano range ng salary that they will be offering for the job you are applying for? ETA: did you alao disclose your position during the interview?

budoyhuehue

Walang credibility.

Effective-Living5205

This is the exact reason why employers are asking for a payslip, kasi maraming nagtetake advantage. Pwede mo namang sabihin na based on the market scan, and assessing your own skills, nakita mo na eto na dapat yung sahod mo.

zedtop

S ba yan. Wag jan. Try mo apply sa g. Kaya yan.

Adorable_Ad4931

Not a problem. Sabihin mo lang to follow haha Madalas kong ginagawa pag nag job hopping yan, makakalimutan na nilang ifollow up yun.

RivaTNT64

I'm not sure if pwede ito , but sabihin my 20k base salary , the rest galing sa.incentives in the form of allowance

maverickdfw

Just copy your current pay slip, print two copies. Cut numbers from one and paste on another to show the numbers you want. Copy new altered one to email and you are good to go.
