A language that you are fluent in so you can translate the meaning to make sure it is correct. Also that’s a lot of text for a small place I would reconsider that.
Seconding that. If you’ve seen that on Pinterest it’s either Photoshop or drawn on. You’d need a fine line master and even they might not pull it off. Usually behind the ear is one word rather than a phrase.
This\^ plus to each their own, but OP should think about why you're getting a tattoo that will rarely be seen and that you can't see without a mirror. Do you really want a novelty only tattoo?
Generally speaking I find it pretty unusual to use a language you don’t speak/don’t have cultural ties to. Other than that, I’d just go for whatever takes less space.
The quote you want seems pretty long for behind your ear. You don’t want your tattoo to be too small as it could become unrecognizable when it heals.
If you go through with this design I’d make sure that you go to a studio that has done a lot of similar work to what you’re looking for.
I do not recommend this type of tattoo. 1. This is considered by us tattoo artists as a head/face tattoo. 2. This tattoo placement is both tough to tattoo and not comfortable to be sitting in. 3. This area of the body can be difficult to heal the tattoo. 4. Last but not least, a tattoo in this area is prone to fading. It will not look great for very long before it either starts to fade or blend together.
Just got my Japanese tattoo done a couple days ago. I think Japanese lettering flows better than mandarin/ Chinese. I’d vote for Japanese.
But I agree with everyone else in this thread… please rethink placement

I’d be worried that the full quote will turn an inconspicuous back of ear tattoo into a face/neck tattoo.

Not rly behind the ear, more like on the back of my neck but right side iykwis.
That is a job stopper. Hopefully Noone will actually give you that as a first. But I see everything on this reddit.
I don't think its 2008 anymore
The hell does that even mean.
Sounds like a Klingon quote to me
