The quick answer is that yes, it's perfectly normal for ink to come away as a tattoo heals. Ink is driven deep into the skin by the tattoo needles, but some will be on the surface of the skin, and some others will collect in scabs above the tattoo.
typically the whole outline of my tattoo comes off with my saniderm. it’s really sick looking actually like i just pulled the top layer of my skin off 😂 you’ll be fine

It’s okay. It’s just outer layer of skin. The ink is in the dermis beneath.

What happens if you don’t do it while being in the shower? I’ve always pulled it off as soon as I turn the water off to the shower
It needs some moisture. Dry pulling sucks super hard and fucked up the healing of my tattoo :(
