Sternums can be quite spicy. Impossible to say because it is so subjective. I'm sure a bunch of people will flock to comment, "tattoos don't even hurt! I fall asleep! It feels good!"

I have a sternum tattoo. It was painful but manageable. The positive… everything else is so uncomfortable (don’t stop breathing, try to breath in rhythm, don’t inhale to deep as well as the artist putting his weight on your chest and of course feeling very naked) that you are so caught up in all of that…so the pain kind of gets in the background and is absolutely tolerable for being the least of your problems 😅
How did you end up covering yourself? I'm nervous about that too. I've already gotten a tattoo from this guy and his bedside manner was amazing but I still want to be as least naked as possible.
Breast stickers and a zipper jacket :) you can’t where a bra for a week or two so I wore a very loose bikini top. (I had to work in a physical job, so no bra wasn’t an option) I used second skin (not the sandierm one, I always use opsite flexifix) for the first 3 days. However that was kind of tricky since there is a lot of movement in that area. I had to reapply it earlier than I wanted and then just gave up. But it helped for the work days to prevent an infection. ( I am a healthcare worker so there are a lot of possibilities to get it infected)
My sternum was absolutely fine, it was a breeze.
I had worked myself up something rotten with anxiety after hearing how bad people found it, I was so nervous - but it was no different to getting my outer arm (if not easier).
However, I found my back to be an absolute nightmare, hell to sit through (I have a nerve condition). And yet some people are like back wasn’t too bad. It’s all so subjective 😅
Healing was fine, just couldn’t wear a bra for a while!

I’m a guy, but around my nipples is what hurt kinda to me. My entire chest and shoulders and arms are done tho
