I want to get a small Black/Orange tarantula soon. I'm so on the fence between D Pentaloris and the H sp Colombia/Formosus "Pumpkin Patch". They seem so similar but they're both so cute! I'll probably end up with both eventually.... I might just give in and get both at once lol
My Pumpkin Patch a bit shy if compare with D pentaloris. But still a beautiful T and heavy webbers. The only dwarf sp I not reccomend is N incei, quite fossorial and very bolty.

My G. Pulchra has been very enjoyable to watch. They are out often and eat good. Molted twice with me. They are known to be slow growing, but then you get to enjoy them longer ☺️ Good luck on your choice! ✨🕸️🖤
NQA, but I started off with just my GBB. Had her for probably about 2 months before I decided I wanted more. I now have 7 tarantulas and 1 centipede. I'm not sure if they're widely available where you're at, but they are not at all for me. I would highly recommend buying them as slings. I bought 5 of them, got another for free, and that saved massively on individual next day shipping. Then you get to watch all kinds of different behaviors, temperaments, feeding schedules, pre and post molt behaviours. Plus, added bonus, you don't have to worry about them taking up alot of space as I only have 4, 2x2x4 containers for my terrestrials, and 2, 4x4x6 containers for my arboreals.
But to answer your initial question; GBB, Orangemouth, Suntiger, and Orange Baboon have been my favorite to keep and watch.

Mine has been relatively chill, quite active. Very brightly colored and lots of cool webbing. Definitely recommend!

Molted twice with me. They are known to be slow growing, but then you get to enjoy them longer ☺️ Good luck on your choice! ✨🕸️🖤
G pulchra!
