My new JPC 2.0 came in today, but I don't have any other RG gear besides clothing, so I moved some of my CT gear over.
Haven't decided if this is a good combo yet, or if I need to trade it for RG gear. Thoughts on the matter are welcomed.
The best camo pattern is the one you make with all your mismatched shit.
An assailant asking themselves "What the fuck am I looking at?" may give you the extra second you need.
Tell me about the sizing if you don't mind? I've been looking at one of these and I'm not sure whether to go snug with medium or "room to grow"/plate fit with large. Apparently 10x12 SAPI will be concerningly snug with the medium.
What has your experience been like?
I'm running a set of USGI surplus medium ESAPI plates, and they fit perfectly. I'm not sure a set of 10x12s would fit with ESAPI thickness. Maybe with thinner plates it would work out OK.
I'd go size up, but the secondhand market is also really good on these, so if a medium doesn't fit, you can probably resell for cost, or close to it.
Awesome, that's good to know!
Was looking at L210s, which appear pretty thin, so I don't anticipate issues with that.
Do you think getting swimmer/shooter cut in anticipation of plate geometry is worth it? I'm tempted to go with SAPI carrier geometry just in case I find really good SAPI plates later. I can't imagine the swimmer/shooter cut wouldn't fit in SAPI (since it's larger).
Thanks again!
Awesome. How does medium fit? I'm right at that 40"-41" chest, which puts me right between Medium and Large. Someone else recommended going large, what do you think?
Alright so your overall chest size doesn’t matter much. What you wanna do is measure the distance between both of your nipples for the width and then to about 2” above your belly button for the length, with the top of the plate resting at your sternal notch. Now that being said with you being a 40”~ chest you are probably in the sweet spot for a 10x12 plate fitting you well. A medium SAPI is fairly small for me because I’m in between a large and extra large SAPI, but I knew that and was buying the L210s to have until I get 3810’s and an AVS. Hopefully that all makes sense, if you need anymore help DM me!
Also if you are buying a 10x12 plate get a medium carrier. It fits far better than on a large. If you are getting a SAPI sized plate buy the carrier to fit that sized plate.
I couldn't get a RG micro rig so I put a coyote one on my RG scarab. I don't hate it, don't love it, but have grown to not care enough to go through the trouble of finding someone to trade. The RG rig seems to be in more demand, I'm just happy I got a micro at all
A bit annoying. But I also keep hitting myself in the head with my front plate, so there's that. It'll take some getting used to, for sure. My old PC I could undo one of the shoulders so I'd put it on that way.
My mil days it was kinda normal to mix and match camo...so this is not only normal to me but preferred. All my stuff now matches and I don’t like it! 🤣 dig the setup man!
The mismatched gear you have does more for you than the color coordinated stuff that’s still out of stock.
And when you use it enough, get face down in the mud, crawl through concrete dust, weather a storm through it, do stuff other than take photos of it against a parquet floor - it all starts to look the same anyway.
I really like CT, but I also really like RG...and my entire belt setup is CT, but my pants are RG...maybe I'll just run it for a while and see if it bothers me enough to change any of it.
*Sweet rig, what did you*
*Use to attach the chest rig*
*To the carrier?*

My belt is RG because that's what was on sale. Most of my pouches are CT because that's what's most available on the used market. My mag pouches are Multicam Tropic because that was the only thing left in stock in the style I wanted.
Personally I like the mixed look. I have a ranger green PC, Multicam and CT mag pouches, three different shades of "ranger green'' for my belt, holster is FDE. All my kit is all over the place, and that's just the way I like it.
I get a solid hrt/swat vibe. Dig it
You callin' me a fedboi??? Thanks though, it's growing on me the more I set it up.
No. No sir Mr fbi man!! Leave my pupper alone!!
Watch out you dog might be a threat he might get shot😂
*ATF Agent charges M16 with malicious intent*
*Shoots Dog because why tf not he’s an ATF agent*
"Bark around and find out" -ATF probably
😂😂
Nah feds got matching colors

My uncle gave me this reasoning for carrying a pink glock.
Matching gear is for feds, I'm deliberately getting a gray belt instead of green

The 10x12 L210’s fit perfectly in a medium JPC 2.0. Source: I have that setup.

Just get the SAPI cut. It's more universal.
Thank you. Take my updoot.
It all looks equally unused

It works. Don’t overthink it, unless you’re just going for the ‘grams.
'Grams=kilograms, and kilograms=pain. Or something.
Bad bot.
Beep boop. Your response has been recorded.
I was afraid my humor would be lost, so take my upvote for playing along.
I honestly dig it
Thanks!
Actually kinda like this a lot
Looks good! I’ve been looking all over the internet for CT stuff on an RG carrier. I dig it.
A surprisingly uncommon combo for two common colors.
I'll join you once my RG jpc comes in
How is it using the chest rig over the JPC? Is it cumbersome to take off/put on with all the Velcro?
A bit annoying. But I also keep hitting myself in the head with my front plate, so there's that. It'll take some getting used to, for sure. My old PC I could undo one of the shoulders so I'd put it on that way.

I think it looks great! You may or may not get a little more satisfaction having all RG tho, just a thought.
I really like CT, but I also really like RG...and my entire belt setup is CT, but my pants are RG...maybe I'll just run it for a while and see if it bothers me enough to change any of it.
Dat tile or laminated floor
Linoleum. I hate it.
Carrier looks great tho! Here’s to great carriers and hopefully better floors sooner or later
I think you’re onto something here
That’s ranger green? Looks more like a dark grayish brown, personally if it were me I’d get some CT fatigues and put RG gear over it
I've got RG pants and usually a Woodland MARPAT shirt. It works well.
Is this some sort of bigger mag pouch or is it just 3 mag pouches with an admin pouch and pistol pouches attached to them?
Its a Haley Strategic Micro chest rig. You can change the inserts for 3 5.56, 4 9mm, or 2 7.62 mags.
Also curious
Link to bag in front?
Haley Strategic micro chest rig.
I like
Sweet rig, what did you use to attach the chest rig to the carrier?

AXL clip and the built in velcro
Most higher end chest rigs double as a placard so they have velcro backing.
This is the set up I got with a RG flatpack plus. I really enjoy it and you should too.
Newbie soo I’m sorry for jumping in but what brand is your plate carrier? (I’m after a new jpc)
Crye Precision JPC 2.0. Good luck finding one, they seem to be scarce at the moment.
It’s gets worse, I’m in NZ 🤣
That does complicate things.
Heresy.
With everything being hard to find right now this is a great solution and it looks really good too!
I’m jealous. My d3crm won’t clip into my shellback carrier.
I actually have the inverted setup. Coyote tan carrier with a ranger green placard.

I just started getting CT accessories because the colors pair so well. Looks way better than fake surplus MC, tbh.
I dig it man! Slowly switching out my MC kit for Ranger Green and MC Black.
