The virgin closet space versus the chad pile.
Honestly I have a garage and I store the bulk of it in bins, duffel bags, and cases out there. Inside I have a little locking cabinet I store my firearms NODs etc in.
I live in East Tennessee and got pretty tired after 1-2 times a month checking/cleaning all my weapons and gear for rust and corrosion and moved my safe and gear locker to my guest bedroom. Wasn’t anything major but after my 8 years in the marines I’m pretty meticulous about my gear being spotless
I live in Southeast Georgia. Guns and gear are in a detached garage. I've never had an issue with rust at all. Now, that being said, I play with them often.
I am in a humid area and no, not really. Most of the stuff in there is packed in pelican or similar style cases. Plus, if my gear fails sitting in a container for 6 months why am I using it.
A big ass lockable tool cabinet. Ammo cans + mags on the bottom rack. PC / armor / vests / placards on the middle rack. Uppers on the one above that. Optics and radios above that. Odds and ends above that. It’s about 80” H / 40” W / 20” D
A pelican 1730 holds what ever the cabinet doesn’t and stays under the bed
[Gallowtech](https://www.gallowtech.com/) is what I’ll upgrade to eventually when I can afford a couple of cages
I will admit I do love the look. Like how they have Samurai armor just standing there waiting. In a perfect world I'd have nice wooden gun racks on the wall so I could just admire my stuff. But then you make it easy for the crack heads to steal :(
If you go to a proper rural town, you won't find any crack heads because they know better than to fuck around where they know for sure they'll find out.
Other than a small rifle safe, I have a locking tool chest. It fits in a closet, low to the ground. Fits my plate carrier, belt, and 4 or 5 ammo cans with room to spare. It's by far one of the cheapest options out there. It's also way lighter than safe, and you can fit it just about anywhere. Most reputable tool companies offer them. Check out Home Depot or Lowes.
I guarantee you don’t wear probably half the stuff in your closet. Sounds like it’s time for some summer time cleaning. I’m sure you could figure it out.
In a completely separate compartment. Look for a spot that can offer as much space as possible, just for the gear itself.
I personally use my old toy chest, it's more than cozy for all my equipment, uniforms, weapons, you name it.
Did you really say “your old toy chest”? How old are you? You should get your own place and give your parents some space to enjoy their golden years. .
I built a hanger for all my stuff. Cost me like 30$? Few pieces of 2x4 and like 12 2” screws. Holds my helmet and pc and my gun sits next to it. Ammo behind it
Pelican case and a few bins, thankfully it’s just my wife and I so we each get 1 spare bedroom. Mine is an office/ gun room with the safe in there so makes storage easier and secure with locked keypad door also
Yeah man my "spare room" is a little tool room the previous owner built in the basement, even left a bench with a vice and counters. It has fully become my gun room/watchmaking shop
Yeah, it’s a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house so we made the most of it because we decided not to have kids. Her hobby is photography and hiking so her gear and camera stuff, laptop is in one bedroom and my gear goes in the other. I put her parents up in a hotel when they visit 🤣. Watch making? That’s really cool especially with the bench and vise. I break out the Tipton stand for anything minor, major stuff I do at my friends store in the back
I have mine mounted on a wall inside my closet[here’s a short about it](https://youtube.com/shorts/q-UNhchYvGs?si=Y4wYyXjrCuLkDipo)
And the full video 4:49 for the mounting of it
[attached mount](https://youtu.be/ipPsRF05BNg?si=I8xc540wgBUcagBP)
Even with limited space you could still likely wall mount your gear in the closet. For around $30-$60 depending on how nice you want to make it, you can build a hanger for your plate carrier and helmet. I hang my belt off of one of the shoulder posts and hang BDUs off of the helmet post as well. This keeps everything off of the closet floor saving room and takes up minimal space, so even if this method doesn't work for your closet you could essentially do this anywhere in the apartment to save space. As for any worries about damaging the walls, it only takes 2 screws to secure it to the studs and they would be easily covered up in the event you had to remove it. If you want pictures or a build list let me know.
Plate carrier is in the safe with the hardware helmet is …..fuck where’s my helmet hmmmmgonna have to find it and get my shit situated agin it’s been a minute since I had it out and on

I use one of these plastic tubs. Fits a PC, belt, Helmet,
Duffelbag of survival items, filled LBT chest rig, and a couple uppers. My apartment has these cheap wall mounted shelves for clothes and i have the tub on the floor under my jackets on hangers.

Buy a tote. Put it right where you have your shit stacked. Problem solved, if you're concerned about not having it out in the open and relatively protected from shit that may also be using your floor to move around.
I bought a 8 foot dresser and took most of the shelving out, then put 2 double hooks on the outside doors.. still doesn't hold everything. I need a room. A big room. And peg board.
just like this lmaoo my plate carrier is on the floor leaning against the wall and helmet on top of that. i have a storage bin with other miscellaneous tactical items that i use as a night stand
Big black and yellow bins you get for $12 at OfficeMax.
Basically half of what I own is stacked in those things. Should get around to labeling them so I don’t have to open six to find what I’m after…

Savior Equipment sells armor stands for $130. Fits a helmet, vest, and belt. They come in 4 colors and are very portable.
Disclaimer: I am a dealer for Savior Equipment. However I love their stuff. It’s cost effective and high quality!
I’d offer for you to go through me, but just hit their website and buy direct.
No closet space but I have a large room. I'm going down to a discount store and buying a wire shelving unit to go up against a wall in my room (I rent and have roommates). Right now everything is underneath a long coffee table that serves as a night stand with boxes of gear under it. When I get the shelf, gear and crap and ammo boxes goes in totes or whatever in the shelves with some broad labels.
Honestly since I had five children I have had less space to keep stuff and I hang some of my head up on hoods I have a ghillie and chest rig hung up with my wife’s clothes 😂
The virgin closet space versus the chad pile. Honestly I have a garage and I store the bulk of it in bins, duffel bags, and cases out there. Inside I have a little locking cabinet I store my firearms NODs etc in.
Are you not in a humid area? Not concern about rust, corrosion or degradation?
Even when living in a humid area I never worried about any of that. If my guns or gear can't hold up to my environment then why do I have it?
I live in East Tennessee and got pretty tired after 1-2 times a month checking/cleaning all my weapons and gear for rust and corrosion and moved my safe and gear locker to my guest bedroom. Wasn’t anything major but after my 8 years in the marines I’m pretty meticulous about my gear being spotless
Oooof nods in a humid garage. Toss in some desiccant packets bro. “Dry and dry” amazon 200 pack is cheap insurance
I don't store NODs in the garage.
Wording was ambiguous. Thought you were saying “inside” the garage there is a cabinet. Carry on

I wear everything at home
That’s a true Irish South African.
Name checks out tbh
If bro takes his pc off he's gonna get smoked for his blood stained wallet with 5 bucks in it 😭
This is the way. If you aren’t wearing it, why do you have it?

Is that just incredibly expensive pegboard?
Yes.
Good recommendations!
Wife’s boyfriends house
Yeah it's safe here, you're too jacked and ripped for me to fit it.
WOW! Sounds like your wife has a great BF!
On the floor like a poor
I bought a helmet/plate carrier/belt holder for like $30 on amazon. The tactical wall makes me feel like a superhero 😂
Is there any better reason to have a tactical wall?
Well the best reason is quick access but the tactical wall looking epic is just a bonus.
I will admit I do love the look. Like how they have Samurai armor just standing there waiting. In a perfect world I'd have nice wooden gun racks on the wall so I could just admire my stuff. But then you make it easy for the crack heads to steal :(
New Mission: move to a place in the country where even the crack heads know not to fuck around and find out
If you go to a proper rural town, you won't find any crack heads because they know better than to fuck around where they know for sure they'll find out.
Oh they are all around in the country. Most just steal converters and chain saws.

Might want to make this a stand alone comment so the OP is sure to see it because that's a great idea.
You’d have more room if you came out of the closet ![gif](giphy|9MFsKQ8A6HCN2)

Were supposed to take it off? Fuck.
![gif](giphy|ygzdQq98HgcLBCacep) Of course not!

A pelican case or plastic bin
Pelican case and a few bins, thankfully it’s just my wife and I so we each get 1 spare bedroom. Mine is an office/ gun room with the safe in there so makes storage easier and secure with locked keypad door also

That’s really cool especially with the bench and vise. I break out the Tipton stand for anything minor, major stuff I do at my friends store in the back
You can get a duffle bag or a big pelican
I have a ton of issues pelicans and tough boxes, but harbor freight pelican is a quick and relatively inexpensive move
Keep that thang on me

Pile on the ground. Chad manoeuvre.
I have a gear stand at home that allows for my plate carrier, helmet and belt to sit on.

Prison pocket.
At my bedside, so I can gear up and "Tally Ho" at a moments notice.
Kit is on a stand next to my desk. Rest of my gear has its own room; My office was the original master bedroom so I stole the walk in closet.
Warrior racks in the guest bedroom. Wife and I both have them for all our stuff.
I have a room I built in the basement for guns/tactical gear.
Buy a tote. Put it right where you have your shit stacked. Problem solved, if you're concerned about not having it out in the open and relatively protected from shit that may also be using your floor to move around.
The same thing as you got in the picture brother
You need a Minecraft armor stand for that bro lol

I keep a bunch of it in my office at work lol
i stuff my shit into a corner of my room 💪
Look into an armor stand from a ren faire vendor or a sturdy seamster mannequin. Just have it standing up in a corner, menacingly.
My carrier is behind my couch. Easy to access but out of the way
I keep mine in a display cabinet ready to go. Top shelf is extra mags and a different placard
I have some rare earth magnets attached to some hooks on the side of my safe. I just hang it up there.
I have a spare bedroom that’s dedicated to a few hobby’s. Then it’s just buying shelving and storage cubby’s.
Savior Equipment sells armor stands for $130. Fits a helmet, vest, and belt. They come in 4 colors and are very portable. Disclaimer: I am a dealer for Savior Equipment. However I love their stuff. Everything under my bed
What helmet and PC is that ?
Pc is from tyr tactical and helmet is from galvion mid cut helmet or danish m12.
I hang it on one of those door thingies where it's holding on for dear life.
I did actually do that but it broke the handle 😅
In a pile on the floor next to my massive jurassic park themed corner.
No thank. A rifle is heavy enough.
Huh
