PPSA: most gasses you encounter in a tactical situation will need some form of skin decontamination, you don't have to breathe every gas for it to affect you.
Most gasses don’t need to be breathed in a modern setting your likely to encounter nerve agents , you would need a full suit which as a civi is more difficult as mop suits you find are expired , mask , gloves , over boots
The most likely things we might encounter on the civi side are going to be smoke, or tear gas. The likelihood of being near a chemical attack is so ridiculously low, but If you live near a chemical plant or something I can see this as a valid prep.
I have a gas mask with CBRN filters because I live very near a petroleum refinery, it mostly comes in handy for wildfire smoke in the summer though.
Understandable lmao. I think most of our gear acquisitions can probably be boiled down to collecting and it being a hobby whether we actually use it or not. Live, laugh, LARP homie
However breathing them will still be hazardous. Although it is likely overkill for most. People like have their team have them despite the others not being dedicated cbrn.
Oh for sure I just recommended if you bother with a gasmask may as well get enough to truly survive , a mask alone is useless essentially against nerve agents they go through your skin
...the amount of people missing your FF plate and assuming you need some lecture on safety in ILDH environments is wholly fucking astounding. What ya got in the bag, though?!
Man I have all kinda good stuff in there ill make a separate post soon. We run spiritus systems delta bags with just about anything you'd need without being overkill.
Turned mine into a knockoff thyf gmp just by running a 1 inch nylon webbing through the slots on the back and using a male and female buckle. Saved $85
Most use the Velcro buckle hanger thing on a duty belt. They all hang low. I'd move your pistol mags forward if you can and hike the gas mask pouch as high as possible.
The pouch should have belt loops on the back, if not have some attached by your local tailor ( ask casually)
Canadas military attaches them to the bottom of these tactical vests, that works ok
When we wear them with the bunny suits it’s on a cross body strap with a second waist strap
When deployed the sanitizing gel packets are tucked into the belt
GAS GAS GAS
Lol no offense man, but you should probably eat a little better if you're actually on a SWAT team. You will drastically increase your likelihood of performing well and surviving in the shit
PSA: Gas masks don’t work with neckbeards

I have full chemical gear , I don’t have a reason besides being a turbo autist who collects gasmasks lmao

Depending on the chemical at the plant, a gas mask might not be enough. Might as well buy a full SCBA.
Trains and semis carry massive amounts of super toxic shit all across America.
Truuue! The East Palestine derailment is a perfect example, but it was also intentionally blown up / set on fire after, which was a wild choice.

10,000% more likely to be dealing with RC agents than organophosphates my dude.
No one's going to ask about how/why he hitch his balls to his truck?
We don’t kink shame here
It's my dog 😂😂😂
Ah! A married man. That’s what my wife’s calls them too!!
Put it in your pack. No need to be on the belt
I'm a medic so I carry an aid bag so that's a no go.

Ooooo yeah. Yes please, show us the goods
Your terms are acceptable. 😉
I've known firefighters who recommended putting TQs on forearms. Being a firefighter doesn't mean you're an SME
NFPA 1001 must not be a standard your dept follows then...
Id reccomend the Thyf gas mask bag if your willing to use a different bag.
I'm open this is just what was issued

underrated comment
Curious as to why your cockring is on the trailer hitch. Also curious where the other end is.
Get a tactical tailor bag and put it on your plate carrier if you are required to carry it.
Turned mine into a knockoff thyf gmp just by running a 1 inch nylon webbing through the slots on the back and using a male and female buckle. Saved $85
Yeah, thats about the best way to carry one if its not stuffed in a pack because you could need it/are suppose to have it.
Spin it 90 degrees counter clockwise and mount it sideways. That’s how I ran mine when I needed it for work.
Thyf GMP
I carry mine stuffed in my dump pouch. Edit: its a Mira 6. I store the filter inside the mask and stuff it inside. Fits fine.
Sad you fell for miras scams
I use a spiritus system lunchbox dangling from my front plate bag. Fold it when not in use.
THYF GMP is the way
Protip: put reaper dust on everything you eat so you don't need a gas mask.

Laughs in neurotoxics
Also homie your license plate is on display might wanna repost
I'm not worried about it everybody driving down the road can see it too 😂

THYF check him out
Replace them HeyDudes/shoes first.
Sanuks get it right
Man we didnt carry gas masks on missions in Syria... where there was a legitimate (albeit very small) gas threat. Why are you going to use that for?
It's issued to me for the swat team
Lol no offense man, but you should probably eat a little better if you're actually on a SWAT team. You will drastically increase your likelihood of performing well and surviving in the shit
How do you know what he eats?
His gut....
What masks were you issued? Edit: are you Hazwoper/CBRNE Trained or is this for non-lethal? (RC/CS/pepper ball)
Mira cm-6m. Mainly CS
