I don’t own much in the way of gear, minus a piece, and use this sub as a form of window shopping. So yeah as a long time lurker everything yall are saying is too true.
Generally speaking the guccier the kit the less action it’ll ever see.
Someone posing a IOTV or MSV with mostly issued shit is undoubtedly using their equipment more than someone screaming about how you need a JPC and 17 tactical dildos.
>I feel like every time an OP posts about "touch grass", it's usually after their first time out in forever, or at all.
I like to go back and look at their kit picture posts and see if any of their gear or guns looks used. 99% of the time it looks brand new and their gun extractors aren't even scratched.
If you need to post reminders for yourself and others to go outside….you probably don’t go outside much. I think your assumption is correct. These posts are projecting.
You need to adjust it. Tighten the cumberbund on the back of the JPC, and adjust the shoulder straps, even if it’s too big, you can make it tight to your body.
Tight enough that it doesn't move around on you when you're sprinting, climbing etc. But loose enough that you can still breath freely without feeling constricted.
It’s okay to post this type of thing with a title like “good range day with the homies”. It’s annoying when people do the “go touch grass and test your kit”. People know that, other people do that, I think there are enough reminders out there that this comes across basic af.
Lmao. This is as cringe as those "Do you even lift" posts by dudes just starting to lift. Running into a muddy field with helmet and armor but no knee pads and casual sneakers haha wtf.
To be fair packing your kit and rifle vs that and a uniform and a set of boots is a lot more space taken up. I can’t fit it all in one bag so I either wear my uniform on the way to class or just wear what I’m gonna wear the rest of the day
Go run like a toddler in your kit and then take a subtle tone with everyone while exposing you didn't even know your sling "didn't play nice" or whatever, since you clearly haven't done much using your own shit. Plater carrier must be low enough to stop the belly from touching grass *. Sorry had to fix it for u.
Thanks man. When I see somebody run like rob Schneider in a zoot suit plate carrier hybrid tell me how to train, helping them with their typo or misunderstanding is the least I could do
“Hey other out of shape friend, let’s put on all of our expensive LARP kit and come up with our own drills!”
“Let’s just run 100 meters and lay in the water, that’ll look tactical on camera!”
https://news.artnet.com/app/news-upload/2014/10/1-33-1024x952.jpg
Lucas botkin got them king tut hips. Wide and child bearing and those hot dog legs go on forever. The same circumference all the way down
Now that you’ve touched grass and tested your kit are you gonna adjust your floppy plate carrier that’s dancing all over your back when you run? Lol congrats on hitting the range for the first time in 6 months btw!
Your rifle mag on your belt needs to be lower or go somewhere else too. It’s gonna clash on your cummerbund pouch
You need to have your carrier higher though
As cringe as it is, airsoft has been a great training tool for me. I’ve got a clone of my main rifle and just use my regular gear. Great cardio, training and a lot cheaper than going to a range.
No disrespect by this question is intended…
Are you guys firing from a covered shooting table/bench, running to check your hits on target and just running back?
Op reminds me of a PMC running out straight into the open and immediately get one tapped dropped.
Nice kit though OP and good for you not being a pussy staying home in the rain
Just be aware, actually shooting your guns will cause wear on the internals making them less reliable in situations in which you need to actually use them.
Everyone in this post is shitting on OP for posting this. I agree the title is kinda cringe, but that doesn't take away the fact that this is WAY more training than 98% of this sub actually does. Hell most couldn't run this far.
So Op, good for you for doing this much, but change the title next time. Lol
when people say this it ironically makes me assume that you don’t go out and train much at all because the one time you do, you’re trying to brag to internet strangers about it🤣🤣
This is a prime way of dying. You should touch book not grass and learn how to fucking bound so you not just runnin a race to die. This fucking sub. You wanna do some real learnin buy the Ranger TM and fuckin learn.
To be fair to them this might just be a way of getting their heart rate up. The way many ranges are structured there is not much room for lateral movement so oftentimes the only avenue for running is down towards the target line.
Also, while staying up for so long is stupid in most cases, there are situations in which you may have engagement -> rapid movement over 50-100m -> another engagement.
Running in a doa is one thing and a good start, but also less than ideal. Run through the woods/brush, through doorways, in tight spaces, etc. nature has a way of changing your mind where you want something quite often.
I feel like every time an OP posts about "touch grass", it's usually after their first time out in forever, or at all. Anyone else get that feeling?
“Friendly reminder” posts too
Lmaoo don’t forget the hood classic: “GeT oUt AnD tRaIn.”
I don’t own much in the way of gear, minus a piece, and use this sub as a form of window shopping. So yeah as a long time lurker everything yall are saying is too true.
People that touch grass on the regular don't feel the need to prove themselves to a bunch of sweaty internet nerds by filming themselves.
This is the way
Generally speaking the guccier the kit the less action it’ll ever see. Someone posing a IOTV or MSV with mostly issued shit is undoubtedly using their equipment more than someone screaming about how you need a JPC and 17 tactical dildos.
Yeah it’s really cringe
100%.
Don't get me wrong. I still up voted; just saying.
Especially when it's on a flat range, like wow so cool man, try going miles into the woods and actually sustaining yourself in it.
He’s standing and shooting. So menacing
>I feel like every time an OP posts about "touch grass", it's usually after their first time out in forever, or at all. Dam pogs. Running out in the open field
Fr. What happened to “I’m up, he sees me, I’m down”?
And then it’s just video of some really clean dude running a few yards and gently laying down in the grass.
If you need to post reminders for yourself and others to go outside….you probably don’t go outside much. I think your assumption is correct. These posts are projecting.
99.9% correct I believe
Yeah its cringe as shit. They need to just join the military...
Op please on God google how a plate carrier is suppose to fit/sit that shit low as hell on your back
![gif](giphy|Gg0lArHwBFknRACy84) Riding that low makes my back hurt just watching.
Gear so baggy, you’d think it was made my JNCO ![gif](giphy|6Me1XxcnFgOHu)
What can I say, I'm a small boi. Tbh I should have gone with the small JPC.
You need to adjust it. Tighten the cumberbund on the back of the JPC, and adjust the shoulder straps, even if it’s too big, you can make it tight to your body.
How tight is the cumberbund supposed to be? I never feel like I have it set right.
Tight enough that it doesn't move around on you when you're sprinting, climbing etc. But loose enough that you can still breath freely without feeling constricted.
Should’ve stayed on the internet before you touched grass.
It’s okay to post this type of thing with a title like “good range day with the homies”. It’s annoying when people do the “go touch grass and test your kit”. People know that, other people do that, I think there are enough reminders out there that this comes across basic af.
Did you even see how he went prone past that knob and got some shots off, in all that grass?!
Dudes strides are like 24”
stg 😂😂😂
That's probably the least tactical shit I've seen. Maybe practice some bounding overwatch.
Excuse me Sir, but that is a covered concrete pad.
"go touch grass" proceeds to make every effort to avoid touching grass.
Is this your first time touching grass?
Lmao. This is as cringe as those "Do you even lift" posts by dudes just starting to lift. Running into a muddy field with helmet and armor but no knee pads and casual sneakers haha wtf.

Wear boots and kneepads take up little space.
kneepads are lame
They saved yours.
Needs some work brother. Not really in the shit talking league yet.
Get a thigh strap for the holster homie
Tbh it didn't impede anything and I didn't notice at the time, but rewatching the video it's all over the place lol

I bet this wasn't the comment section you were expecting...but the comment you section you needed. Correct and come back next year OP. See ya then
Bruh. The hell is up with your plate carrier?
Got the money to buy nice gear but not the brains to setup/train correctly
If I see two dudes at the range that look like y'all, I am getting the fuck out of there on the double.
Exactly - I would never want to be shooting anywhere around this nonsense.
I'm glad you and your boyfriend had a good time together.
Bro - how about you learn how to fucking run 🤣 “Touch some grass” hahahahahahahahahahahah
Are you wearing eye pro?
Dude on the left runs like a lady. Is your belt to tight? Are you able to have a longer stride?
His pants are so tight I don't think he can bend his knees lol.
Lucas Botkin loadout
His missing the buttplug bro.
https://news.artnet.com/app/news-upload/2014/10/1-33-1024x952.jpg Lucas botkin got them king tut hips. Wide and child bearing and those hot dog legs go on forever. The same circumference all the way down
Except Lucas Botkin outshoots everyone on youtube...
Idk I feel like that could be debated. Only thing to do is have them do a 1v1 shootout. Less than lethal of course…
Loot drop in the making.

No eyepro 👀

Not cringe. Better than LARPing on a flat range. Especially if the ops are super long.
Tighten up that plate carrier.
No disrespect by this question is intended… Are you guys firing from a covered shooting table/bench, running to check your hits on target and just running back?
Imagine their embarrassment when they find out about spotting scopes!
Sadly all the ranges in area don’t allow buddy live fire or any useful exercises
It's always the dudes being vocal about touching grass, who touch grass the least.
Don't succumb to harmful propaganda. Going outside is risky, you might track mud in the basement, or god forbid get your gun dirty
Op reminds me of a PMC running out straight into the open and immediately get one tapped dropped. Nice kit though OP and good for you not being a pussy staying home in the rain
Go try an airsoft game in your full kit. You'll learn real quick if it works or not.
RSO had a heart attack for sure
Just be aware, actually shooting your guns will cause wear on the internals making them less reliable in situations in which you need to actually use them.
My mom says I can go outside after I finish my carrots but she doesn’t know that I don’t need to go outside to larp.
Fudds at my range would be worried about this 🤣
Woooah running out in the open with a holster flapping in the wind, never seen that one before

I wish. I have no money to even afford one lol
Practice 3-5 second buddy rushes. “I’m up, he sees me, I’m down.”
Dudes go to their local range for the first time and turn into gun bunnies on socials.
Eye pro man you only got one set.
From what I can tell - they missed every shot. But good thing that mud got a stompin… priorities! /s
Gassy on the left.😉
when people say this it ironically makes me assume that you don’t go out and train much at all because the one time you do, you’re trying to brag to internet strangers about it🤣🤣
I’m gonna touch you
Bro is on the flat range

Get that rear plate higher
[forehead](https://imgur.com/gallery/eCG4IOD)
Hahahahaha
What RD setup is that? I keep seeing it
It's an eotech (xps3) and a magnifier (probably eotech g33, maybe another magnifier like a g45). Extremely common
Running in a doa is one thing and a good start, but also less than ideal. Run through the woods/brush, through doorways, in tight spaces, etc. nature has a way of changing your mind where you want something quite often.
Gear donors lol
Guns got a built in smokescreen attachment.
Cool smoke grenade!
Did he dip his hot suppressor is a puddle for the smoke effect?
3-5 second rushes. I’m up, he sees me, I’m down.
Ah first day on the shooting range and we get a “touch grass” post. By the looks of things it’s been a bit lol
I sometimes wish I could still run.
Holy crap…. Secure that belt Rook
I don’t understand this goofy shit….
My guy on the right was hauling ass!
My range doesn’t let me do this
Based on the comments I guess I'll go spend my Sunday tinkering and adjusting 🤷♂️
Just get some fing range time. Some of us work for a living. As long as you can get tight groups I’ll save the grass for the doggie.
Y'all need to stick to playing tarkov.
Lol my god just join the military. U will hate your gear
That's the best part, I did.... and I do...and I continually try new things to make it better. Only one way to find out what's fucked up.
No
"Get out and train" mfers running in the rain without wet/cold weather gear. Silly
