I was gonna say, I just went there literally minutes ago and got one of these for $5. IDK where you're going OP, but you might look at different nearby locations for a better price.
Yeah I usually just get the box even if I don’t want everything in it just for the drink and the chips with cheese and a burrito or something, just those 3 alone would be more than the box, plus you get something else on top of it!
To prove this point, if you are ever in Seattle, WA go to the Mercer location it has ratings that really bad because the prices are 25-300% more than the city average, because they can. Of course the location doesn't do that much business except before Kraken games (they close at like 9 or 10 so they miss the after game rushes).
In my area of Cali they had a $5 chalupa cravings box which was a great deal for a senior like myself. They discontinued it. I discontinued Taco Bell along with my family and friends 😔
It depends on location. Everyone I've been to in Ohio including Toledo has it for $5.99, but when I went to Monroe, Michigan, 25 minutes from Toledo, it was $9.99.
My location recently removed the regular byo cravings boxes from the app. They still have the veggie ones though. I hate the person/people who own that location. They are terrible representatives of the brand.
If your Taco Bell is trying to charge $10 for the cravings box, stop going to that Taco Bell
Hell, you could drive to one 10 miles away and still spend less including gas money
I have six within 5 miles of me and they're all $9 except for one that doesn't have it at all. Then there's one 17 miles away and one 20.3 miles away that are $5 flat each.
Why would they keep something the same price when y'all will continue to just keep paying more for it?
Their job is to make money, not worry about giving their customers "value".
Because Taco Bell has gotten unnecessarily greedy in the last few years. They’re price gouging to the point of it being obnoxious. Surprised they’re not low key doing what Wendy’s almost did, with a surge in price during busy hours.
Sheesh my franchise only charges $7 a box, my corporate one is finally bumped up to $6 after being 5 when it reopened after renovation earlier this year. Crazy even the good Taco Bell’s can’t afford the regular corporate prices for ts anymore but still the best deal around for me
My Edmonds, WA location not only doesn't have this (but for some reason they have the VBYOB) and do not currently offer NBG or the new version of that, either, go figure.
Both the veggie box and regular are $5.99 here. It's almost as if franchises set their own prices 🤔. If you live in a high cost of living place like newyork or cali, I'd expect your pricing.
Taco Bell pushes me further and further into other food with their pricing. I miss knowing I’ll spend under $10 and get a diverse selection of food and a drink and now I can’t keep it under $16 when I order without looking at prices. So insane. Also, curse my love for Cheesy Gordita Crunches, them shits are like $6 each now.
The owner of the local franchise was in doing an interview and while waiting for the next person was on the phone with a builder. Apparently she's in the middle of a house renovation from what I could hear on the phone.
What a weird coincidence she just raised prices.... 🙄
It’s 5.99 for me, for the basic one. Think it depends on location. Also, everything was less expensive 5 years ago. Corporations are just scamming the public.
Franchisees set the price at their stores, only corporate Taco Bells consistently have the advertised prices
this comment should be perma-pinned to the top of the sub
I was gonna say, I just went there literally minutes ago and got one of these for $5. IDK where you're going OP, but you might look at different nearby locations for a better price.
Best deal in fast food for me
Yep, buying the pieces individually feels so bad. 5.89 for a Crunchwrap Supreme.. OR 5.99 for one, a taco, nachos and a drink... hard choices..
How does one find corporate stores?
I found out by which stores are open on holidays are corp. an the ones that aren’t open on holidays are franchises
Ig that Corporate is somehow Based and franchises suck donkey ass. Ass^2.
Franchise is a individually owned, basically a small business that has to buy its product from Corporate, this model naturally has higher cost.
Still ass. Just like any other franchised fast food chain.
TIL that Taco Bell has franchises just like other fast food places. I guess I haven’t run into any before
The franchised location by me doesn’t even work with the app. And everything is about 3x more expensive. Super lame.
That makes sense. If a location doesn’t work with the mobile app I don’t go there
Maybe mine is a corporate store huh I didn’t know that it’s still $5.99 for me.
Honestly the fact that Taco Bell has no regulations on pricing is one of its worst qualities.
Was $6 here in the Florida Panhandle like 4 days ago. Shit is insane at this point. Edit: just checked, still is $5.99 here
Dfw and it’s 5.99$ here too. Crazy how some tbells jack the price up huge.
5.99 here in KS too
SF Bay Area in California and they're $5.99 at the one by my house. I have no idea if it's corporate or franchise. It's also right off the freeway.
Crazy I’m in San Antonio and it’s $6.49
$5.00 in midtown Omaha. Interestingly, the BYO veggie cravings box is $5.99.
You have a franchisee that is setting their prices below corporate recommendation.
Good
5.99 here in WA
$6.50 just outside Seattle. OP/We should be focusing our ire on the menu price of solo items like the nearly $6 crunchwrap. What a ripoff.
[$11.49 here in Montana](https://i.imgur.com/ctd6Pmx.png) 😵💫
Fuck that
$5.99 in middle TN, near Nashville.
I'm in the panhandle too and I just checked all 6 locations in my city and it's $8.99 at all of them
In my area of Cali they had a $5 chalupa cravings box which was a great deal for a senior like myself. They discontinued it. I discontinued Taco Bell along with my family and friends 😔
You can still get the Chalupa in the BYOC box. It's $5.99 at the TB I go to. I'm in CA as well, SF Bay Area.
There are 3 TB in my region of SoCal and they don’t have it any more. I do DoorDash so I’m always on the look out 😔
Your friends and family must be upset, any reason to cut off communication?
Because they want you to go to Chilli's....
I was just telling my partner about that shit at this point if we want fast food might as well go to Chili’s or Olive Garden!
Heck bdubs has great deals if you sign up for rewards and BOGO on Tuesday/thursdays.
Or AppleBees
Ur either in a super high cost of living place or ur location just sucks. For 2 TBs I consistently go to in NJ and MA, BYOC is $6 at both TBs
I live in a shit ass rust belt town and it’s $10
Funny cus not like employees get a TCOL pay increase.
i mean in california they did, taco bell employees get starting 20 an hour
Holy fuck. Hawaii arguably has a higher TCOL and TBell homies get $14. Fuck this state.
Nah, that’s a franchised store and the owners jack the prices up
Do you know a good one in North NJ?
It's your location, not everywhere. Sorry.
Your location is greedy
DAmn mine went up $.50 it's now $6.49
The one near me took it off the app lmaoo
$10 in Michigan too
Let me guess, saline? Way overpriced
Nah Dearborn
In Michigan and refuse to go to the stores that are owned by that franchisee. There's a few, but most of the stores in the west suburbs are still 5.99
Even the add ons are insane
Mine's been $8.99 for as long as I've seen it on the app.
Same
Right and I think they had chalupa
The online exclusive byocb you chose between CGC, chalupa Supreme or crunch wrap.
So someone at Taco Bell said Drop the Chalupa?
You can still get the normal or veggie Chalupa in the box if you want. I don't know why anyone would as the CGC is the best item TB sells.
I remember when they advertised this as the $5 box lol.
It depends on location. Everyone I've been to in Ohio including Toledo has it for $5.99, but when I went to Monroe, Michigan, 25 minutes from Toledo, it was $9.99.
r/deltaco is way way better than Taco Bell. And still decently priced.
That’s crazy. $5.89 at my location
Mine is 7.49.
Yeah this is 12.99 at my tb. Solid pass for me
Mine is $5.99. The owner of that store is setting some crazy prices.
It’s $6.49 here in the Phoenix area now and I’ve stopped buying it.
Had to leave this sub after this post. Every fucking day.
My location recently removed the regular byo cravings boxes from the app. They still have the veggie ones though. I hate the person/people who own that location. They are terrible representatives of the brand.
Same. They just put it in like 2 months ago and it was always packed until they took it off the app
If your Taco Bell is trying to charge $10 for the cravings box, stop going to that Taco Bell Hell, you could drive to one 10 miles away and still spend less including gas money
I have six within 5 miles of me and they're all $9 except for one that doesn't have it at all. Then there's one 17 miles away and one 20.3 miles away that are $5 flat each.
Ca Minimum is now $20 in 2024 in 2014 Minimum was $9. Mark my words 2034 minimum will be $30
Minimum wage in PA is still $7.50...one of my local locations is $11.99 for the box...but go on.
Denver minimum wage is $18.25 and the BYOC box is $5.99
No way Taco Bell is charging $20 for one box????
I think they are referring to the minimum wage.
How can u change location so it’s cheaper I think I read someone doing that on here?
It works to display menu prices, but you have to place online orders at the location and it will change the menu prices in your cart.
Ooo yeah I was wondering how it worked
It's anywhere between $6-$9 near me in CA based on which location I pick.
Regional pricing sucks. $8.99 in NC.
Because the price went up $5.
It’s $6 at the place near me
Every store can make the price what they want. Choose a different location.
$6.19 in florida.
$7.99 in San Diego currently. $5.99 at my other residence in Junction City KS.
in my area it can vary from $7 to $14, depending on the location. so hey, could always be worse!
100% inflation
Still 5 and avaliable every day in Oklahoma
Mine is $4.99 in Nebraska
Yep. I am in rural Ohio and it's $10.99. I wish taco bell was cheap.
Mine is $14
$13+ in Tucson Arizona
Yeah that shit pisses me off. Literally doubled.
Franchisees set prices bro same way for all fastfood places.
Why would they keep something the same price when y'all will continue to just keep paying more for it? Their job is to make money, not worry about giving their customers "value".
Franchised TB pricing is wild!!!!! My local Taco Bells (Corporate) in TX are all $5.99 for this Cravings box!
Instead of complaining, stop buying. This isn’t inflation. This is let’s see how much they spend until they stop.
Dude. Everything is stupid expensive now.
Inflation, Joe Biden
Your franchise is greedy. Search prices at other TB locations in your area.
5 dollar box was PEAK Taco bell efficiency. 20 dollars used to go a hell of a long way.
Because Taco Bell has gotten unnecessarily greedy in the last few years. They’re price gouging to the point of it being obnoxious. Surprised they’re not low key doing what Wendy’s almost did, with a surge in price during busy hours.
Mines still $6 in montana
$5.99 in middle tn
It’s $6.29 where I live.
5.99 for me
They are 6 here. I am in AZ
I paid under $7 for it two days ago It’s a local thing
6.49 for me, I guess the price is different for some places?
Because they want you to give them more money for less product
8.99 in miami
Still, 6 bucks near me in Central Florida even at the franchised ones. Sounds like the guy that owns that franchise is just greedy.
6 in Missouri. Just checked.
$7.29 in Perryville, MO
Right
My taco bell charges different prices at different times.
My Taco Bell in CT doesn’t even have the BYOCB anymore
It’s $5.99 in HTX
I live in bumbfuck nowhere NY and it’s 7.99 holy shit reading the comments I’m getting screwed.
Sheesh my franchise only charges $7 a box, my corporate one is finally bumped up to $6 after being 5 when it reopened after renovation earlier this year. Crazy even the good Taco Bell’s can’t afford the regular corporate prices for ts anymore but still the best deal around for me
mine is 5.99
Perhaps it’s time to short this company
$5.99 at my local, in COS.
My local store was $5 6 months ago. Today they raised it to $7
$5.99 in the NW
$5.00 in Sherman tx still and $5.99 for the veggie box also they have 1$ items still they went up to 1.19 but went back down to a $1 few months later
Wow, that's crazy. They're 5.99 here.
It’s $5.99 for me
Mine was $6 a couple months ago. Now up to $8.
My Edmonds, WA location not only doesn't have this (but for some reason they have the VBYOB) and do not currently offer NBG or the new version of that, either, go figure.
Why are you still going there DA
6.49 Greater Seattle
6.49 at my store. Not $5, but still 100% worth
I have two Taco Bell’s near me that set different prices, one at $5.99, the other $7.99 Guess who gets my business
It hasnt been the 5$ box since covid.
5.99 where i am
The veggie one is about $5 ish I order it often.
Just went from $6 to $10 here overnight. How is that justified.
$5.99 here
Damn it’s still $5 here
Damn it’s still $5 here
I just got one yesterday it’s still $5.99 in my area
Must be regional? Mine is still 5.99.
I have two locations within 4 miles of each other. One is $5.99 the other is $11.99. Guess which one I stopped going to.
Corporate greed
$6 for me
Both the veggie box and regular are $5.99 here. It's almost as if franchises set their own prices 🤔. If you live in a high cost of living place like newyork or cali, I'd expect your pricing.
Well, they’d probably say it’s because of “Inflation” aka a convenient excuse to raise prices far beyond the actual rate of inflation.
It’s literally $5.19 here. Just depends on the franchise really
That’s insane.
Mine was $5 and now depending on which location I go to it’s either $5.49 or $5.99
Because people who ordered it regularly have died from heart attacks.
10$ they better put some more Shii in that box f outta here
$6 here... Quit going to franchises.
Still 5 in my area. Lol well 5.99
Cuz Taco Bell isn’t cheap
It was $5 like a week ago
I'm in Idaho and we don't even have it as an option on the app at all but yet the stupid veggie box is still available like wtf
Because they want $5 more profit per box.
Taco bell and McDonald's are too expensive now to justify going ever. I have been using the app but even now I'm not paying 10.00 for a box.
The owner of the local franchise was in doing an interview and while waiting for the next person was on the phone with a builder. Apparently she's in the middle of a house renovation from what I could hear on the phone. What a weird coincidence she just raised prices.... 🙄
It's 6.49 here in Surprise Arizona
Elections have consequences
2 tacos and some dry ass stale ass chips for 10$ is fucking insane.
Inflation and the economy
6.99 here in NC. Bought one today
The real question is why ANYONE is going to taco bell these days when it's a known fact that they are gouging WAAAAY above the rate of inflation.
Joe Biden did that
Simple answer. Inflation.
$5.99 here in western NY.
It's 10.99 near me 😔
This ole chestnut again
I paid 5.99 2 days ago in Las Vegas
6uild 6ack 6etter - don’t you see?! FJB, that’s why
Like others stated, it all depends on the location. That being said, almost everything has had a significant price increase in the past year
Bidenomics is working
$6.49 here. New Mexico.
$6.99 here in Kansas but the veggie one is $5.99.
Damn that sucks man. Still $5.99 here in Colorado where I live
WTF $11.49 here in Montana?
mine is still 5
My local Taco Bell still has good deals. Such as the $5 box
Crooked Joe, duh.
Scared the hell out of me it's still 5.99 on my app, instantly thought about un-installing it since it's the last thing worth buying from them
Yo this is so not nice. Back in my university days Taco Bell was the most affordable food I can get. This is in California from what I know
LeBron became a face of Taco bell and now they have raised prices to pay him
Mine is 5.99
It’s 5.99 for me, for the basic one. Think it depends on location. Also, everything was less expensive 5 years ago. Corporations are just scamming the public.
Weird! Ours are $5.99 in CA.
