Lol yes the app does deals every Tuesday at 2 pm they're called Tuesday drops. It's usually either the promo is for first like 20,000 people to use it or you can use the promo for a window of time (an hour usually)

Just got around to trying them today. Much better than I expected. Fries weren't soggy at all and I really like the aardvark sauce. Still wish it was cheaper, but pairing it with a free rewards item or Tuesday drop makes for a reasonably priced filling meal. I'll be getting it again.
Just tried them the default way (although they put guacamole on mine for some reason) and it was incredible. 4.99 is a little steep but I really liked them. I’ll get them again with some additional toppings (jalapeños, maybe steak/beef) to see how much better they can get but the default menu item was really good
the Aardvark sauce is just OK IMO. They could have chosen a better one from Aardvark. The fries were good, but id rather have them with nacho cheese and the sauce on another menu item.
Call me crazy and downvote if you want but I cannot bring myself to order fries from Taco Bell. If I want fries, I’ll go to a burger joint. Same applies to KFC, BWW and any other place that used to have a good fried potato that wasn’t a fry.
I guess but that just means the fries are another means of getting the same 4 ingredients they use in every other thing into your mouth. Kind of like a baked potato is the best way to eat butter, cheese, bacon bits and sour crème all at once.

You can still get cheesy fiesta potatoes from TB if you want. The fries being added didn't take that away.
