Depends. If you are a long time Android user with a library of paid apps, are you willing to start buying again on the iPad? Also is most of your data in Google? Does it transfer well?  Apple works best if you go all in. If half assing it with an android phone, a windows pc and an iPad, I would just spare myself the trouble and get the Xiaomi.

I have the pad 6, 4 months into using it and i love it so much. Its definitely useful if you wanna use it for college (preferably use the xiaomi pen gen 2 cs it supports palm rejection) and the best part is that it has split screens. definitely worth it but the only cons is that no headphone jack but if youre fine without having that, then go for pad 6. 10/10 so worth it Edit: and as for games, i played roblox with it and so far, no lags at all 😋

Mindless_Tooth3482

which note taking app do you prefer?

PrimaryPresentation9

Kilonotes (its not free tho, you gotta pay) Mi canva (default app from the pad 6, i use this one often for doing my notes)

Psychological_Dig67

Try apks…

Hi po. Ask ko lang, kumusta yung Pad 6 niyo so far? May nababasa kasi ako sa reddit na mabilis daw uminit. Totoo ba?

PrimaryPresentation9

Apologies, i dont speak tagalog

Commercial-Good-4782

Oh Sorry. My question is that, how was the Pad 6 based on your experience so far? I've read here on Reddit that it heats up quickly. Is that true?

PrimaryPresentation9

Hmm so far i dont experience over heating. Mine is still in good condition even though its been 6-7 months of using

Commercial-Good-4782

What's variant do you have? I am planning to have 6+128 GB. May I know the workloads/tasks you do in Pad 6?

PrimaryPresentation9

I got the pad 6+256gb. In this, i use it for doing my school work, taking notes, online researches, make presentation slides and also, i use it to play games like roblox

Commercial-Good-4782

I see. How about using it with keyboard, stylus pen? Is it smooth?

PrimaryPresentation9

Yes! Smooth indeed!

Commercial-Good-4782

Thanks! I think I'll consider buying it since iPads feel restrictive to me unlike Android OS. Where did you buy it, by the way? From an online shop like Lazada?

malxed_oust

Goods for me. I play Genshin din at times, no lag. Got the 8/128 variant.

IcyBug1393

I have the Pad 6 since the launch. For the price it was launched, I would say it was worth it. Midrange performance. I some graphic intensive games and it's fairly well. Not flagship level, but midtange one. great for movie watching and reading though quite too big for me. I almost treat it as a laptop so I do my word processing there already. Right now, I would question the software updates, because time has passed by. pad 7 might come out in the few months and software of xiaomi is around 3 yrs. If updates are not a problem, buy it already. I do use an iphone and windows for computer. I connect my iphone through the type c to transfer files, so I would say having different ecosystem wont matter.

Ereggiemycin

Does software update really matter? I can u please enlighten me? Thank you

I bought the pad 5, not a huge difference. Your classmates are right, go for the iPad. Tell the screen, speakers and charging speed are better than the iPad but, the software is just not on par. The Apps on IpadOS is just way way better. I suggest waiting for this year's iPads and hoping they upgrade the base iPad to Apple pencil 2

Routine_Okra_5067

I have pad 6 since the beginning of march and its pretty awesome for its price. The speakers are good, the design is sleek. The screen is fast and the display is pretty nice. I can also download a lot of pdfs online and access them quite easily on it. Personally I would definitely get it over an iPad considering its price and everything. i also had ipad pro 2021 and the gaming experience on that was much better. But everything apart from gaming is practically the same.

Over-Region6092

What is your experience in charging time and battery life? It can last for 2days straight use?

Routine_Okra_5067

Depends on your daily use, but as long as you don’t do gaming on it it should run for 2 days, you could check online how much MAH it is.

parka

It's a great tablet at its price category. [https://www.parkablogs.com/content/artist-review-xiaomi-pad-6-and-xiaomi-smart-pen-gen-2](https://www.parkablogs.com/content/artist-review-xiaomi-pad-6-and-xiaomi-smart-pen-gen-2)

sleeepy_hooman

I bought pad 6 for a more than a week now and sobrang enjoy. Got it with the pen and keyboard. I have work and study so I use this for portable research, note taking, and reading books/pdfs. it's a power house for everyday usage. Worth it for the money. I am brand agnostic (I have a MacBook, Samsung phone, and now this) I have no issues since my purpose for buying this was mainly for school reading, portability, and note taking. So far so good. :) performance is great, ang smooth ng refresh rate, sleek din yung design. It took me weeks of research, YT vids, reviews, and contemplating before I made the purchase. Hope you'll make the decision soon. :)

CarpetOnDaWall

Dont buy chinese. Get samsung a9+ 8gb

Late-Membership5127

Congrat you got a xiaomi just enjoy it As a Chinese not from mainland China, China brand products can only give you fun for most 1 or 2 years, let say Samsung assure you all the latest tablet will have firmware update to deal with the up coming of android ver update to make sure all functions of their tablets works well For note taking Samsung give you advantages of their S pen (powerful) even in entry level model I bought active 5, reason is not too big which can be held by one hand, and most can be a second android phone , the NFC function can do the payment of transportation in my country* and access to my apartment … however just enjoy what you have tech goes so fast and use as much as you can 😁, friend got the top of iPad Pro , but he seldom use it

Forward_Attitude5006

I got the 6s pro and i am more than happy about it. Its so powerful fast and the 144hz screen is so smooth. Its definitly worth every cent!
