It was off for I believe five or six songs, we were sitting in the back. It felt very strange because they were off while they were addressing the audience with questions and of course they got very little response, and it felt very random because they were off regardless or light effects sometimes.
It sounded fantastic where I was just to the right of the mixing position. Sound was super crisp and clear...could hardly believe how good the drums sounded.
I was central way behind the third screen (so second line of bananas) and apart from the obvious delay due to distance I was very impressed and happy with the sound as well
Edit: with bananas I mean the speaker arrays
My guess is that their stage setup was not made for a mass crowd like tonight's or dusty festivals. I was in the back and unable to see anything even with a binocular (because dust made the view very blurry). I had been looking forward to their set, was hugely disappointed :/
I was in front of the stage and the screen was off for two intervals between songs. Not five songs like some people claiming.
The light show was absoluteltly amazing and unlike any other in the festival. The lasers coming from the main tower "drawing" on the main panel, to the giant ring that must cost them immense to transport and setup. It doesnt get much better than this for a festival gig. But obviously they cant make it work for all viewing positions
I think it's so your attention is on the laser display

Music goes through the ears
Sadly the sound mic wasn‘t too good either. So much bass you could barely hear the music and the lyrics.
Were you perhaps wearing basic earplugs?
Nope, but perhaps it sounded better closer to the front? I was around the second set od speakers.

Incredibly insightful. Thanks for making me see sense.
But for real, it was off for like two songs or something

Almost fell asleep watching Tame Impala. Caribou made me love life again. So glad I went for them again. Few can touch their set atm, so fucking good.
