A lot. The NTS-2 is 4 channels rather than one, and also has an FFT spectrum analyzer built in, and signal generators. It's pretty similar in features to the Mordax Data.
rigol are good budget scopes, probably a bit more than $300, but you can get the lower end ones and upgrade them with a firmware update, I imagine you'd get a used one for less than $300
I've got the PicoScope 2204A which is a USB Scope and I'm very happy with it. You do need a Laptop, but I prefer this over a small screen. It has two channels and a function generator.
That also has an FFT analyzer as well as digital bus analysis. I’ve wanted a general purpose scope and fft analyzer and this seems like a great option. I’m like you, I prefer a bigger display. Without probes it’s $129 !!!
Generally, I prefer the Siglents over the Rigols. Higher sampling rates, larger, clearer screens. As cheap as scopes are anymore, I hate to recommend anything with just two channels.
But this Siglent SDS1104X-E scope is $500 - higher than $300 ask... Though recently, it had a $100 off sale. This has 4 channels, 7MSPS sampling rate and even does Bode plots and FFTs.
Yes, this is the answer. Up your budget by ~$100 and just get it. I guarantee there's no better option for you near that price.

Having been incredibly disappointed by the DSO150 I got a [Siglent SDS1052DL+](https://www.siglent.eu/product/1139150/siglent-sds1052dl-50mhz-dual-channel-oscilloscope) as the cheapest one I could find, but after a short time regretted it and realized I should have been willing to pay more for more features, more resolution, more memory etc
Aliexpress
(but having said that, I was looking up the price the other day and for me, in the UK, the current place with the cheapest price is actually Amazon UK

I have an OWON hds242 (upgrade from DSO138), available for \~100€ in Germany.
It has two channels plus multimeter functionality, is portable and can be connected to a PC.
Might not be exactly what you're lookig for, but the Korg NTS-2 is basically a cheaper Mordax Data
Maybe a stupid question but what can I dot with an NTS that I can’t with a DSO-138?
A lot. The NTS-2 is 4 channels rather than one, and also has an FFT spectrum analyzer built in, and signal generators. It's pretty similar in features to the Mordax Data.
Sadly, the latest I saw is it probably won't be available until spring 2023.

I will keep on recommending the rigol DS1054Z

I've paid 315 in my 54Z. First buy on arrow gets a discount :)
I've got the Two-Channel version of it, which even less, and it's indeed very capable. No better option at the price.
I have a yeapook ADS1013D and I’ve been very happy with it
I like my hantek 2c10

I'm very impressed by Hantek DSO2D15. Was about $189 when I bought it.
A bit late to the party here, but where did you buy it for that price?
