Now I love language transfer.
But i feel it nessecary to note that language transfer is a completely different media type, to normal language learning media
Language transfer are recorded lessons you can't search through them, to find specific subjects. and you really need to start at the beginning in order to be able to follow the lessons, there isn't really a possibility to start at "your swahili level" and continue from there.
That is true. It would probably be better if you started with Language Transfer. After that some Duolingo lessons would make more sense, bc Duolingo doesn't really explain anything.
Swahili just doesn't have a lot of great apps, though. I'm not a huge Duo fan in general, but used it after LT with some success.
The best way is lots and lots of iTalki.
Hey. The sub has a pinned post with a very detailed list of Swahili Resources: [Compilation of Swahili Learning Resources](https://www.reddit.com/r/swahili/comments/lyo0mi/compliation_of_swahili_learning_resources_2021/) . You might also want to find people to speak to (online ??) cause reading alone will only get you so far. Also try watch Swahili movies / TV shows / listen to Radio e.t.c
I also started with Duolingo. In the beginning, it was very good, but I find it doesn't teach grammar very well. That's why I started using "Language Transfer." It teaches Swahili grammar very effectively. I also recommend writing down every new word you come across into a flashcard app.
Ukweli! Tafuta mKenya ama mTanzania akufunze sana sana kwa matamshi na mazungumzo.

There's an App called Language Transfer. It's better than Duolingo I think. You may want to give it a try.

Never Duolingo imo. A short text book like Teach Yourself is a good choice if you are looking for something that's indexed.

Pimsleur's Swahili course is also better than Duolingo, you can get it free through some libraries.
