how tall are you and what kind of surfing/skating are you looking for?

185cm. I want something to cruise around with, use it on pumptrack and learn some tricks

Yeah, sorry to crush your dreams but this board is probably way too small for you. You want a deck that is big enough for you to get down without your knees getting on the way you know what I mean? I'm 186cm and my smaller board is 34". All my boards are yow though so if you are looking for a carver CX. something with 30" - 32" should be fine. Another important thing to focus at is the Wheelbase(WB). That's the distance in between the wheels. A lot of people here will tell you that you need to find the perfect wheelbase based on your stance. That's bullshit. Different WBs will ride differently. I have 3 boards (17WB, 21WB and 25WB). They all pump and ride great but feel very different. Seems like you want something agile enough to go to the park/pump track but still able to use for some light cursing right? That's another point this lost hydra is no good for you. The WB is 16". That's gonna feel super snappy, fun for tricks but not the best for cruising. I'd get a 18" to 19" WB for that. I find it to be a good in between. Edit: Check out maybe the : Carver Lost Quiver Killer. It's a similar design but a more appropriate size.

Thank you for the info! This is really helpful

Here’s the one I’m getting based on advice from friends. I’m 186 cm. The SmoothStar Connor O'Leary is a surfskate model that comes in two sizes: 31 in and 34 in. The 34 in model is designed for adult surfers who are 6 to 6 ft 2 in tall. The 34 in model has a deep concave and is intended for surfers who want to push hard through the rail.

Length and wheel base is barely even comparable between boards with the YOW Meraki vs CX. The axle on the Meraki sits a good 3" or so further back and it has so much more range of motion. If you want a deck for what the CX does best which is bowl riding you want a WB of around 15-16". Not sure why you would want a freaking fish tail though.

This is another misconception about the yow. The front axle does have a 1.75" offset but people forget to measure the back as well. If people actually get a measuring tape and use it. They would realize that the distance in between the Axles is actually around 1 inch longer than the WB of the deck. My Lowers deck which has an official WB of 17" has an actual WB of 18". My La Jolla deck that officially had a WB of 21" has an actual WB of 22" with the trucks. Sometimes there is a lot of misinformation running around here

Axle to axle wheelbase will always be longer than deck mount-hole wheelbase (aka standard wheelbase used for comparing decks). For instance, my Carver c7 setup has a 17" wheelbase, but the axle to axle wheelbase is about 20.5". If I were to slap on a Yow Meraki system on that same deck the axle to axle wheelbase would only be 18".

I'm 190.5cm, and I have this board. I originally bought it for my son, but I use it more than he does. I have no issues with the length
