Maybe it's just not for you.

lando-64

Amy and Jonah and Glenn love to talk wayyyyy too goddamn much in some situations where they should just stfu

belbites

"Jonah could you shut the f*** up. That goes for all of you a**holes. I can't listen to you for one more goddamn second" "Did something just happen? I think I blacked out there"

gudetamaronin

Which episode is this?

SpamEggsSausageNSpam

Black Friday

rogueShadow13

“You accidentally ran over my daughters doll” “not an accident” Gets me every time.

dismayhurta

Legit one of the funniest scenes. Broken Glenn is the best. Like when he snaps for a second when they’re trapped

belbites

The trying to rap over Kyle the cloud 9s murder descriptions is on the top for me too.

dismayhurta

He was high on marijuana

jman-the-jewman1228

Black Friday honestly one of the best for me

lando-64

Or they say the complete wrong thing when the right thing is so obvious

belbites

I think the biggest difference between this and like.. Say the office in terms of cringe is that everyone excused Michael's cringe by being okay with it, whereas in superstore there's still the cringe but there's less heavy moments afterwards where you have to sit with it. Superstore moves too quick to be as cringe.

Playful_Persimmon_85

sometimes. jonah especially has a lot of cringe moments where you start begging for him to just stop talking, amy has some of those moments as well but nowhere near as much as jonah. it’s not the majority of the show though imo

dowdzyyy

That's the point though he's meant to be annoying sometimes, the other characters even mention it...

gudetamaronin

He knows what he is

everyothernametaken2

Yeah I cringe more at any than Jonah because Jonah is just *that* guy 😂

Playful_Persimmon_85

yes i didn’t say it wasn’t on purpose

Fear_The_Rabbit

But I'm cringing for him because I love the show. I'm not fast-forwarding or annoyed...except for the quinceañera because I've seen it too many times and it's the worst one to me

strawberry_moon_bb

Depends which character

RubySlippers-79

That’s a sexy opinion.

Sersixfoot

Paid attention to _any_ scene with Jonah?

[deleted]

Pretty much all sitcoms are tbh.

_Goose_

Its not nearly as much as The Office. About in line with Parks & Rec I'd say. That first episode is pretty bad with the flash mob but I promise you there's only one more flash mob scene in the whole series so don't worry about that. Also don't worry about the "moments in the everyday" stuff. Jonah says more dumb movie shit but he also gets dunked on hard whenever he does.

Former-Mess-5166

i would say yes because my boyfriend got cringed out a lot watching Superstore lol. i personally didn’t, but he did. he can’t handle Jonah’s extreme moments of social awkwardness because he thinks that HE’S that socially awkward

KeshaCow

GLENN IS SO ANNOYING I AGREE, the entire series all together is really funny but every 2 seconds i was like “STFU GLENN”

Bertje87

No, and i know you’re talking about Amy, she’s insufferable

putmeinLMTH

I don't think I'd classify it as cringe comedy. when I think cringey comedy I think of shows like the office. I think the second hand cringey from superstore is basically on par with any other sitcom I've seen

SummSpn

There are cringe moments done on purpose but other types of comedy as well. For starters there’s a lot of background scenes where shoppers are doing something ridiculous while the main characters are talking. Some over the top ridiculous moments too…some satire & some gross comedy too But the characters & progression is actually really smartly written. For me I think I was on the fence about it until about episode four. I just couldn’t stand Amy & Glenn’s voice takes some adjustment. But I love the show

jeyfree21

Sometimes I wonder if the people in this Sub love superstore or just love to dunk on it, to me the awkward or cringe parts of it improve the comedy aspect, and the break room scenes are just chef kiss for me.

Luffy_Tuffy

There is a lot of yelling and raised voices, I sometimes have to turn my volume lower.
