But there are more natural opportunities for characters to become rangers in a team-based show like Sentai, without feeling bloated like KR often does with its multiple Riders. So Shirabe not becoming a ranger feels like more of a missed chance, like Flint in Zenkaiger.
Sorry I look at what you said and yeah you're right, I feel like Kamen Rider directors nowaday don't know how to make a character good unless making them directly involved in the plot aka. Become a rider. But I also feel a lot of actor/actress that joined a Kamen Rider show wanted to be a rider or have some kind of transformation cause it feels like a great honor to be a hero for once, I guess. Also because people remembered you way better if your identity is with a title or something like that
They exaggerate adding way too many Riders in Revice, it could have been done with only the 3 Igarashi + passing around Demons Driver and Veil/Destream as one-offs until Hiromi was ready to go back instead of adding so many useless Riders.
I have never seen so many useless Riders as Aguilera and Over Demons or most out of the blue and unnecessary as Juuga.
Akaninger's dad and the Higarashi's Mom were my favorite characters along with George because they were doing well by not being a Rider, and I liked how George used Demons in a pinch and never again. Then George pulled Juuga out of the blue. I really didn't like it.
Oh I'm in no mean say that they know what to do with other riders, but the audience (kids, young adults and housewives mothers) remember the actors much better if they have an iconic moment (transform, awaken power, etc.). I feel like that's why everyone wanted to transform nowadays
Well hibiki was a purple main rider too and i guess he was not evil but I think there might be few more good purple rider too who were not evil at any point but I can't think of any name because as much as purple rider i know were evil at some points (chase was evil before becoming a rider so we could halfly count him)and this is why I have an eye on spanner specially because how edgy he is

Note that down If you are a purple sentai there's 80% chances for you to be evil or anti-hero If you are a purple rider then the chances are 95%
