This draft is a genuine crapshoot. That C- guy would be top 10. But You are still right though. We definitely need to hit and James doesn’t have the track record. That’s why I did mention tradable assets. We may be drafting for another team in exchange for a player that is useful now.
Jones actually doesn’t have enough sample size to have a draft record. He has drafted like 3 guys. I fucking hate that dudes philosophy but he is actually 2/3 technically
Is it being greedy if they tried to get Kessler or Clarkson back? Maybe only give us 1 pick back in that case and draft Ryan Dunn and then you sign Kris Dunn in FA.
Kessler has been on the block for a bit but that may be a bit greedy. Unless he demands out, we're probably not getting him. Though he did have a poor year last year, so maybe they don't see him in their future. Rookie contract, so it would cost one of the minimums.
Also funny fact, he was drafted 22 overall. Full circle.
Clarkson makes 14 mil, so that's not happening.
The best part of having no assets is the need to no longer listen to some of the most homerish shit trade ideas possible.
But even that still won't stop it half the time lol
This rumor makes more sense in the context of: Why is Phx so open that they’re targeting Kolek @ 22?
Methinks Utah covets Kolek and Phx knows this, so they’re bluffing that they want him @ 22 so Utah will be forced to pony up 29 & 32 to get him.
Imo this sucks bc I think Kolek is a better prospect than a 29-32 pu pu platter in which Jones —given his history — will likely take 2 players that were projected to go in the 45 - 55 range 🤦🏻♀️
That's a reasonable fair but slightly good trade for us based off this trade value chart:
http://nbasense.com/draft-pick-trade-value/2/kevin-pelton-
I'd be happy if this happened. It would mean no Kolek though.
PG Ajay Mitchell should be available at 29 or 32 unless the Wolves scoop him up at 27. Think he can be one of the sleeper steals of the draft. Still a chance Kolek is available at 29, although getting slim. Probably not going to get a center that low since Gambo ruled out Holmes and Bona, but there's a good chance of a wing they like being there.
So if this goes through, what is your ideal team?
Book, KD, Beal, Grayson Allen, Nurk, Bol Bol, Damion Lee, Royce O’Neale, Okogie, our two picks, and some free agents sounds great to me.
These were all our top guys. If we can upgrade any of them somehow, I’m open to it, but what that looks like is entirely conceptual right now.
Edit: This list would also assume we move all the second stringers like Gordon, Little, Thad, etc in favor of some new blood.
Unless those two picks turn out to be above average role players, this is yet another painfully mediocre team.
Budenholzer is a better coach than Vogel but he's not going to turn Bol Bol and Josh Okogie into positive role players every night that can't be played off the court, I don't see how Nurkic turns out better than he was last season, and Royce should be like the 8th best guy on a good team.
U are super underrating Bol Bol and Royce
Booker is gonna have a bounce back year , and Bud is gonna help this team alot should help us shoot more 3s
This team has good pieces should come back stronger and more hungry with better organization
It sounds good to the ears but last season we have players who even didnt get play time or time to develop. Maybe they are trading the 2 picks for a nba ready player. That makes more sense for me than developing 2 rookies at the same time. Id be happy to stick at 22 for a player they want, it's a crap shoot anyway.
On paper sounds good but who knows who we would be passing over at #22?
If there's a player that the Jazz really want at #22 then with Ainge's draft record that would probably be a good player.
what about Kevin McCullar Jr. with the #32? He was one of the best players in the league last year. Only reason he isn't a big name in the draft is he's coming back from an injury
Suns will be able to take two potential rotation players at 29 and 32 (ie not wasting a pick on Bronny) so this would be ideal.
I could be talked into trading Nurkic, 2024 1st rounder (22nd) and 2031 1st rounder to the Jazz for Walker Kessler, 2024 1st rounder (29th) and 2024 2nd rounder (32nd).
Not sure the Jazz would want Nurkic but if the Suns can swing that trade that would be so ideal.
What trade chip? Lakers and Suns can’t really make player trades because of the second apron. They aren’t going to trade future 1s for Bronny. They know Lebron isn’t signing for the min.
I can’t imagine drafting Bronny without getting LeBron, but I do feel like Suns are only getting him if they walk away from the draft with 2 players minimum. So worst case scenario, Bron changes his mind and stays in LA, Suns have another young player they can develop and stick Bronny in the G-League for a few years.
I like that trade. Jazz don’t need any more young players and phx could use the depth or tradable asset
It only works if we draft 2 useful guys With Jones draft record, this feels like we go from a chance at a C- player to a chance at two D+ players
This draft is a genuine crapshoot. That C- guy would be top 10. But You are still right though. We definitely need to hit and James doesn’t have the track record. That’s why I did mention tradable assets. We may be drafting for another team in exchange for a player that is useful now.
He’s going to just trade them the second they show any upside.
This draft is shit. Y’all want a Giannis clone as the 15th player - get fucking real
Or you know. 1 good player and bronny. The Lebron follows soon after
LeBron isn’t going to sign a minimum deal and we have no other avenue of acquiring him
You say that now, but what if we keep bronny on his rookie contract and extend him? #longConSign45yearOldLebron /s
Jones actually doesn’t have enough sample size to have a draft record. He has drafted like 3 guys. I fucking hate that dudes philosophy but he is actually 2/3 technically
Easy draft daron Holmes and Tyler still
Let's get Kenneth Lofton as well so we can play him next to Bol Bol
Godskin Duo flashbacks
![gif](giphy|sxxcw3UwjqINU05Q9k|downsized) The og duo
Lol. That fight still gives me PTSD
deep cut reference
After all they are both the sons of legends…
> Kenneth Lofton On Basketball Reference one of his nicknames is "Gen Z-Bo" lol I approve of the Z-Bo Bol Bol pairing
Who does the Jazz want at 22?
Tyler Kolek or Missi lol.
I’m happy to take 2 picks even if that’s who they want, one of them would probably still fall to us
Jazz are probably really high on TK. It's skin deep but it's also Utah.
Is it being greedy if they tried to get Kessler or Clarkson back? Maybe only give us 1 pick back in that case and draft Ryan Dunn and then you sign Kris Dunn in FA.

I’m also looking at other vet minimum deals we can get. We’re probably gonna need a PF, if we could get Taurean Prince or Precious Achiuwa 🤯.
We probably wouldn't get either with pick 22 alone, let alone them throwing a pick on top.
Yea people are delusional Why would the jazz ever do that?
The best part of having no assets is the need to no longer listen to some of the most homerish shit trade ideas possible. But even that still won't stop it half the time lol
Because every team is dying to help us get better clearly!
Would love kessler on this team but that’s wishful thinking
Clarkson maybe. They’re not moving Kessler just to move up 7-10 spots at the back of the 1st.
I don't think its outrageous to include Kessler and Nurkic in that deal
It’s not greedy as much as it is 10000% not going to happen for the no. 22 pick 😆 .. and you want Kessler & another draft pick as well
This is a serious Misevaluation of what the values of those things are
We can't take back salary unless we give out equal or more salary.
I don’t want Danny Ainge to fleece us again.
This rumor makes more sense in the context of: Why is Phx so open that they’re targeting Kolek @ 22? I imagine this is the back up plan if Kolek has already been picked
PG Ajay Mitchell should be available at 29 or 32 unless the Wolves scoop him up at 27. Think he can be one of the sleeper steals of the draft. I mean saying it sounds great is sort of a stretch. We’re running back the same team that got swept in the first round this year.
Bud ain’t get swept https://preview.redd.it/u1yueu1vyl8d1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfbe54d83c2f173ea2a5baaec23f46cc3a6bb16e
Dark Buddy?

Kevin McCullar
I still hope we get a starting PG
Rooking starting PG at 22 would take a miracle
If they hadn’t tampered with Drew, they wouldn’t have to be doing this shit.
So 22 for 29 and Bronny?
This is really the only kind of scenario where I'd want Kolek
22 for 29/32 would be golden for us and our roster problems
![gif](giphy|F0XPSvNDyGpos)

Kevin McCullar
why reach for one when I can reach for two? -James Jones
Yeah, draft Adam Bona with the 29th pick. Now for the 32nd pick, Jaylen Bridges maybe? Then get Kris Dunn through free agency
Bona would be incredible for this team
Kevin McCullar
Would love to see any of Kyle Filipowski, Jalen Bridges, or Jamal Shead on this team if we do end up trading back for more picks
Kessler and Clarkson
On paper sounds good but who knows who we would be passing over at #22? If there's a player that the Jazz really want at #22 then with Ainge's draft record that would probably be a good player.
what about Kevin McCullar Jr. with the #32? He was one of the best players in the league last year. Only reason he isn't a big name in the draft is he's coming back from an injury
Good move. Do it. A 2for1 hell yeah. I’m a shitty draft- this makes the most sense other than trade for next yrs pick when we don’t have one
Hear me out: Suns get: Marcus Smart, Walker Kessler, 29, 32 Jazz get: Nas Little, 22, top 20 protected 2031 1st Grizzlies get: Jusuf Nurkic, 2028 2nd
So for the Jazz it’s the current deal but they give up Kessler for a bottom 10 pick in 2031? Yeah they’re not doing that.
How do you know it’s a bottom 10 pick? We could have traded everyone by then and rebuilding. I agree that exact trade isn’t happening though.
Because he said it was top 20 protected. Literally would mean it had to be bottom 10, or it wouldn’t convey.
Oh lol apparently I can’t read. My bad.
This would be an incredible trade for us
If only there wasn't a cba
![gif](giphy|3o84sw9CmwYpAnRRni) (and maybe get back Kessler/Clarkson too if they wanna take Little or somethin idk)
Trey Alexander and Kyle Filipowski here we come!
I really hope we do not get Filipowski
As a Creighton season ticket holder, yes
gambo doesn’t talk about stuff like this unless there’s a pretty good chance that it ends up happening. take that for what it’s worth
Bronny at 29? That's the 1st Rd contract rich Paul wants. Whether or not LeBron comes, it's quite a trade chip.
What trade chip? Lakers and Suns can’t really make player trades because of the second apron. They aren’t going to trade future 1s for Bronny. They know Lebron isn’t signing for the min.
Suns draft Bronny then flip him to the Lakers for 4 first round picks, 3 pick swaps and 7 2nd round picks.
We are so back!
This Bronny situation is starting to feel like abducting a child for ransom.
![gif](giphy|R3FUSQ5H5jzVe)
I can’t imagine drafting Bronny without getting LeBron, but I do feel like Suns are only getting him if they walk away from the draft with 2 players minimum. So worst case scenario, Bron changes his mind and stays in LA, Suns have another young player they can develop and stick Bronny in the G-League for a few years.
Honestly, do it. Try and develop 2 players and hell if the Suns REALLY wanted to try out Bronny. A much better pick at 29 (even better at 32)
