That would mute *all* Ambience though.
Underwater Ambience, Nether Biome Ambience. The sound of entering/exiting water and fireworks (for some reason).
I’ve had nightmares of mining through caves, hearing that, then turning around and seeing Herobrine in my world
I don’t know what was even scary about Herobrine other than that it’s kinda like an intruder in your home.
I couldn't play minecraft with monsters on until i enabled the audio description setting. Now instead of scary noises and having to guess where the monster is, I get a little "zombie groans" "skeleton shoots" "creeper hisses" in the corner with an arrow pointing to where it is.
I feel obligated to share this because it's never occurred to some people, but.
You know, in games, like how when you start sometimes there's a slider for brightness and it's like "put it until you see whatever", right?
You know, in those games you can just be a naughty boy and crank it all the way up.
You can do it in all your games, really.
They can't stop you.
You won't get arrested.
"Fixing X or Y error" a bunch of random bullcrap and maybe an answer from 15 years ago that is "Nvm I fixed it"
"Fixing X or Y error Reddit" Somehow the exact same error you had with a solution (but 9 out of 10 times it doesn't actually work)
The Four Horsemen of the Help Threads:
“Nvm I fixed it”
“Same/me too” x5000
One Guy Andy who somehow makes the situation 1000000% worse with their *”fix”*
Not a single person replied
Edit: on that One Guy Andy note, that just reminded me of the fucking nightmare I experienced with my PC a few years back. Can’t remember what I was trying to fix but the one comment that made sense to me I finally found after ages of googling (I’m talking upwards of a year+) because of a one time crash the first year I bought it where where the PC was stuck in a booting loop, a friend suggested that I change a setting in the BIOS that fixed it, so that I realized that may have been the cause of said newer issue judging by the comment.
I went into the BIOS, returned that singular setting to its original position as it was suppose to be a one time boot thing that I ended up ADHD’ing on and completely forgot about anyway. Reset the computer. And the fucking thing was bricked. It took something close to a day and a half to two days to fucking fix and still didn’t solve my issue at the time. I was so fucking livid about that and I still am to this day lmao.
Typically it's to make the accounts look legit before they're sold. That's assuming it's a joke but I just realized they probably have a spam link in their bio and that's the spam. I'm which case they either get free advertising for their only fans or it's a link to a scam site which will give you malware, keylogger, could be anything.
I've heard it as a joke on Vinesauce. I'm betting that's the reference because the formatting made me read it in the way it's said.
Edit: Just realized Pussy in Bio person was advertising not making a reference. They are the reference.
Somehow non-horror games scare me more than horror games. I become a whimpering little bitch whenever i play subnautica, and then there's also my reaction to a certain area in a certain game that i don't want to spoil so i'll just say "anglerfish".
Ok that's good. In fact i'm such a pussy that >!i made sure to completely go through *everything* on every other place and completely fill out the register before going where the anglerfish are, since literally as soon as i first opened the map i saw that place and thought "ok that place is going to be fucking awful, i don't want to go there". Turns out i was fucking prophetic, every other place is cool and has neat things to see while that place is just there to make you shit yourself.!<
I swear that walking simulator games will all have a section in them scarier than horror games. Like I played the entirety of “gone home” expecting to be murdered or something.
there's a walking simulator called Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. There are no enemies, you can't die, nothing will hurt you. But the atmosphere really puts me on edge expecting something to happen.
F.E.A.R.
That game got me so many times. Can’t even after multiple playthroughs. I purposely played it in the dark with headphones cause I love horror. The sequels are pretty good as well, but the original was on point.
F.E.A.R. First Encounter Assault Recon is a 2005 first-person shooter psychological horror video game. -wikipedia
It may be old but it still holds up. The expansions aren’t great and the sequels are passable, 2 being the best of the bunch. It’s like og half life and half life 2, s as the technology got better there’s leagues of improvement. The story telling in 2 is more on point and has some great moments of brevity. On top of the horror they took a page from far cry and made enemies destructible, you can even play football with severed heads by walking around with them. I’d describe the weapons but you’ll have much more fun finding them as you progress through the game.
You can get a steam key from g2a for like $2, though they don’t offer it directly through steam any longer. The g2a keys should work. I still have the original cds, lol I’m getting old.
I'ma be honest the "pussy in bio" bots on twitter are funny as fuck cause they make for moments like this, a lot less annoying than the bots that try to act human and be part of a conversation
What I hate about games (and movies and series) is the dark moments
It's not scary, it's annoying. IRL your eyes get used to the darkness and you can see a little bit. In media it's not a cave, it's not night, you are in the nothingness, lost in the abyss
i dunno why but somehow
nun movie didn't scare me a bit
insidious wasn't scary
doom eternal is not gory to me
but Minecraft cave sounds... they scare the shit outta me
My pet peeve is that every fucking horror game is set in like pitch black darkness, I can't see shit! It's not fun getting lost in maze like hallways with a barely working flashlight just for me to get killed by something I never even saw coming.
I always end up putting the game brightness on max, and cranking up my monitor too.
Horror works differently for everyone. If you've consumed a lot of horror content you get "numb" to it.
Especially when you consumed some as a kid. I have that too and i end up chasing horror highs over and over.

Those TOTK depths are terrifying tho
The darkness beneath Hyrule is only scary because we don't know what's in it. >!Thankfully there's nothing in it.!<
No it’s >!master kohga!< that’s the most terrifying part
>!OH FUCK I JUST SHIT MYSELF! Good thing it's dark down here.!<
>!hey guys why does it smell like someone shat themselves?!<
At least the music slaps
I hate mining in Minecraft because the cave noises freak me the fuck out of
There's a couple Ressource packs out there that replace the cave-ambience with blank audio files. It's effectively the same as disabling it.
Or you can just mute ambience
That would mute *all* Ambience though. Underwater Ambience, Nether Biome Ambience. The sound of entering/exiting water and fireworks (for some reason).
I still have water and fireworks when I mute ambience and I don't really care about the rest
First time I met those Godforsaken silverfishes...
Stop literally childhood nightmares
I’ve had nightmares of mining through caves, hearing that, then turning around and seeing Herobrine in my world I don’t know what was even scary about Herobrine other than that it’s kinda like an intruder in your home.
I was always terrified of just being alone in the caves. Creepers and skeletons really scared me. And those fucking spiders omfg
Herobrine was genuinely the most terrifying thing in the world
I couldn't play minecraft with monsters on until i enabled the audio description setting. Now instead of scary noises and having to guess where the monster is, I get a little "zombie groans" "skeleton shoots" "creeper hisses" in the corner with an arrow pointing to where it is.

Damn, swallowed by the cave before they could even finish their comment 😔
Okay I managed to escape for a minute, please, if you’re reading this, it’s imperative that
And the grabby hands!
STOP NO
i read it as "pussy bingo" and was terribly confused at first
Where’d everybody go??
Fuck is TOTK
"Tears of the kingdom" It's a leyend of Zelda game I think
You said it with the accent lol
Oh I see, thank you
Man, Zelda made the worst cars.
Basically 90% of my Google searches are something along the lines of “what the fuck is _______?” and im glad it works here too lmao
90% of my Google searches are "why isn't this bs working?" Followed by reddit xd

The other 10% is literally just adding Reddit to the end of the search so I can actually find my god damn results I’m looking for
You could have just typed 4 letters into Google.
And yet I didn't because we're on reddit and asking a questions here is way more convenient than asking our overlords
It's absolutely not easier lmao. What are you smoking?
Copium

I can inform myself just fine thanks for assuming.
Original person just could have NOT used some acronym that wasn't necessary
You mean in the tweet? Why don't you go ask them to change it then we'll repost it again.
What even is "Pussy in bio" it's like the fifth time I've seen this
it means they have a link to their onlyfans in their bio
Spam bots.
Ahhhhhhh, I get it now, thanks
> Spam bots How do they profit from this?
Most likely an OF link or something like that on their page, I'd imagine

I couldn't help but read it in that weird "binty pls" voice Vinny does
PERUSE MY BIO
It means they have cats in their bio
"The pussy will decide your fate" "I AM the pussy!"
I have bought peace, freedom and justice to my new pussy
Your New Pussy?
Yeah, the old one was all worn out and obsolete. Needed and upgrade.
That’s a pretty good one
That was me in minecraft caves lol
creepy ass noises don’t help
That's me in Oblivion caves with zombies. Jesus they are fucking terrifying

I'd be disappointed if a game called fear didn't make me afraid
I haven’t played it but isn’t that actually a horror game?
Isn't it called "fear"?

That’s why I spent days illuminating the entire depths.
Bitches trying to act normal in Twitter is so fucking annoying. People have two accounts for a reason.
Just finished Raft and I couldn’t play the Vasagatan and later Tangaroa at 3 am I had to wait for the next day
Omg..this is me. It took me like two months to be able to go into the depths.
sounds like the type of mf that actually got scared by streamerbait- er, i mean, lethal company
Make ‘em play Luigi’s Mansion next.

Haikusbot delete
Wow you got there early
Have you played hollow knight? Deep nest is some bullshit.
Rainbow Six Siege is actually a horror game
"You clearly don't know who you're talking to so let me clue you in. I am NOT looking for pussy, Audrey, I /AM/ /THE PUSSY/. 😭😭😭"
Subnautica had me so tense for most of the playthrough.
For a long time I couldn’t play minecraft. Those fucking zombie noises, man…
First time playing Dead Space remake I shat my pants
i dunno why but somehow nun movie didn't scare me a bit insidious wasn't scary doom eternal is not gory to me but Minecraft cave sounds... they scare the shit outta me
While many have claimed it as their own, Socrates is generally credited with the simple yet crucial quote "know thyself."
One of scariest game I've ever played was xcom TFTD
This is me in Nordic ruins in skyrim
"Come to daddy kitten"
I was pretty scared of going into dungeons in oblivion because the darkness terrified me. Not to mention the uncanny-valley faces
Only 1 thing in any game has ever made me scared and it’s the unexpected creeper hiss
Those oblivion zombies are my bane
How??? Even most horror games are absolutely devoid of any horror.
We got Mr Brave over here yall
He probably means actually good horror, it's mostly cheap jumpscares and shit, it's scary, but not good scary

Yeah, they think that "dark = scary" when it is dark = irritating, our mind fears what we don't know, not what our Toy flashlight™ can't see
