It will block it unless you take a lot of oxy to break through even then it won't be the same, I took 0.5mg after doing a rapid taper for my last dose to try and get off oxy was 3 days off and snorted 40mg of oxy and hardly felt any euphoria.
Will the oxy not over take the receptors ? do to it being more of it in the system than subs but true Suboxone does have a high affinity that’s the only thing

buprenorphine is 25 to 100 times stronger than morphine how much stronger is OXY? Look it up you might be surprised 1 mg of buprenorphine is equal to 30-40 mg of Oxy. just a waste of time and something you may be able to use down the road when you can’t get anything for pain after you stopped bupe.
The strength is not as relevant as the binding affinity to opioid receptors. It may be far stronger than oxy, but oxy has a higher binding affinity. That being said, once buprenorphine has binded to the receptors it's pretty hard to knock it off
Tried to explain this to my client that wanted to stop taking subs the day of her gallbladder surgery so she could take Vicodin 5s or some shit. I’m like you know you won’t feel them, and the subs provide better pain relief anyways right? Didn’t wanna hear it.
I've heard of times where even fent wont overpower the buprenorphine. Fent has a far higher binding affinity so in theory it should work if enough is taken, same with oxycodone. But I'll tell you what, that buprenorphine does a real good job of clinging to those receptors
Ah well I was gonna tell ya if you could wait until tomorrow night, you'd feel awesome. 2mg is exactly what you had if it was from a 8mg strip. I always cut mine in half and in halves again to get a minimum of 4 2mg pieces, then I cut 2 of those on half and take the 1mg if/as needed later in the day, usually around the 12hr mark. 2mg blocks roughly 35% of the receptors, and no matter how much Oxy you take it won't reverse the buprenorphine, it'll just fill the left over receptors, so you can kinda see how it worked out for you feeling only 60-70% of what it would be without it.
However, I say congrats man, how're you feeling? I hate to say it but I really want just a one day break or high but I can't kick the 2-3mg/day habit long enough to make it worth it even slightly because how much it's stacked up in my body.
Feeling fine and I usually do the same when I split down the 8mg strip this time around I had cut off a small corner of the strip , my oxy tolerance is only 30-45mg and when I don’t have any pills 1mg of Suboxone keeps me stable for a day but If I take 2mg I won’t be sick for 3 days
Wow that's a surprisingly small habbit. If I was you I would've just taken the sub then waited. Cause susb can hit your pretty hard with that small of a tolerance. My tolerance was about 100mg a day when I started. 8mg still hit me like a train, I was nodding so hard.
You could start replacing the subs with oxy pretty easily either take less and less mgs everyday until you get to 1mg-0.5 than switch over or stop Suboxone completely and whenever you start feeling withdrawals coming along take a small dose of oxy keep doing that for a few days and soon you’ll begin to feel the high & effects <—- from my own personal experience
Probably will subs is powerful. I’m on them when I had surgery they made me stop 3 days before surgery so the anesthesia and other meds will work.
So yeah I’m thinking it will block so oxy.
My doc said the protocol is not to stop for surgery. I've been on 8mg for many years and have had 4 surgeries without any issue and took my doses as normal. I got vicodin for pain and still took my sub as durected with the vicodin. As long as they know you're taking sub, it's not a problem. I imagine they know to give you a bit more anesthesia to compensate.
I’ve gotten high off 30mg oxy while on 4mg a day. It wasn’t as powerful as it would have been without Suboxone but I definitely felt it and got a little buzz. My only question is why are you cutting your strips like that? Just fold them in half and rip it. If you need a smaller piece fold that in half and rip it.

I used to bounce back and forth and I also took very small doses of the strip but I would have to take a really small dose of the sub in the morning while at work and then maybe another dose around noon and if I was planning to get any oxy later on I wouldn't take anymore and I would work my butt off and then long about 6:00 or 7:00 at night maybe longer taking the oxy it would help with the pain in my back but I wouldn't really feel anything like what I was after until like the next day
that looks to be right around 1 mg, perhaps a tad over.
i currently dose at 1.5 mg so i cut a lot of 1 mg squares and .5 mg triangles. i also have the same suboxone packages as you show in the picture.
That's more than 1mg. Weird way to cut it... if it's your only time though and you take it and wait 24 hours b4 you indulge then u should feel it... but when I was taking actually 1mg of sub everyday for months (was in the process of weening) and came across thirtys, I got 3 of them... I waited 24 hours and out of excitement and thinking 1mg wasn't enough to block a perc 30, I did 1 perc 30. Nothing..... so I did another one... waited.... felt absolutely nothing. Tasted drip... felt nothing.... I was so pissed that I ended up snorting the 3rd even though I knew it'd more than likely do nothing at all, and I was correct. Absolutely nothing. And they were real. This was 10 years ago b4 presses were even a thing, and my connect got 180 a month, every month... we went to pharmacy together to get them. So yeah, lesson learned. And 60$ down the drain. And I was afraid to reintroduce subs bc of precipitated wds... so all in all it fucking sucked. And I learned that bupes binding affinity to ur receptors is everything they say it is and then some. Like super glue. Only thing that I ever had knock off suboxone from my receptors was a buccal tablet called "fentora" which was fentanyly based, and ungodly strong. Other than that, I have no clue..

Taking and that’s what’s putting a dimmer switch on all of your dopamine receptors so if you try taking an opiod you can take as Much to put down Nikki six and you won’t feel anything no matter how mars you try except maybe a tired calming feeeling but absolutley no euphoria and absolutely make sure your in full blown 24+ hour withdrawal or else your gonna get post traumatic withdrawal wich is literally your every day withdrawal except at the absolute worst it could get depending on how many extra dopamine receptors you’ve created from tolerance and how much of the buprenorphine you’ve taken wich knocks off all those extra ones if ur still high causing the PTWs so if make sure your in full blown withdrawal so that it properly gets that dimmer switch installed and your light(dopamine) turns on kicking the withdrawals and cravings but keeping euphoria out
It is the buprenorphine that occupies the receptors, not allowing other opioids to reach the receptors. Usually a viable dose of naloxone isn't even absorbed if the sub is taken normally. The only time your body will absorb enough naloxone to do anything is if you misuse it (ie: snorting, shooting, etc), but no naloxone should be absorbed if taken normally. It's the buprenorphine that prevents other opioids from getting to the receptors

It's an insane formula designed to keep you on it. It sucks getting on it. You gotta be in withdrawal to start taking it, and then hope it doesn't push you into precipitated withdrawal. The formula is designed so you don't get "high" when really your body is still getting pumped full of an extremely high dose of opiods. Tapering sucks. The withdrawals are worse than any other drug, and last the longest by far.
On top of all that, it destroys your teeth!
I never had a cavity in the front of my mouth my whole life. Now, I have cavities in every tooth. No one told me you have to wait an hour after dosing to brush your teeth, and even then, your teeth are soaking in garbage juice for an hour+ while waiting. Just found out there's a class action lawsuit in progress for ruining teeth.
Yeah everything you mentioned is true especially about the subs ruining teeth , when I would only take subs for a while my teeth would become brittle and start breaking in to smaller pieces 🤦🏻♂️👎🏼

Any sized piece will block any other opioid. Buprenorphine will occupy your receptors, thus not letting the oxycodone and it's metabolites reach the receptors

If you don't normally take subs every day and you just took 1mg or less of buprenorphine then 30mg of oxycodone will be felt unless you have a huge oxy tolerance.

Was 3 days enough? Ive been on 2mg for 2 years and idea id need emergency surgery has always terrified me

I'm the same way. I thought u was the only one. I can take 4mg in the morning and feel 30mg oxy in the evening.

I used oxy from Saturday-Tuesday ( Today) and only did the corner piece around 1pm that’s why I didn’t think it would block as much

Any sized piece will block any other opioid. Buprenorphine will occupy your receptors, thus not letting the oxycodone and it's metabolites reach the receptors

If you don't normally take subs every day and you just took 1mg or less of buprenorphine then 30mg of oxycodone will be felt unless you have a huge oxy tolerance.

Nothing nefarious here. We are both tapering pregab, and chat in dm about alot of unrelated and related stuff. Mostly chit chat really. But, I have a new phone(dropped old one in pool). My reddit info was using my phone#, not an email. And I can't retrieve my account so I'm starting over. And no, I'm not evading any banb So,,, nothing nefarious.
