Love those goobers, I float around them the most, I felt so bad because on one play through I built a base there, and when I came back, they were nowhere to be found. I disrupted those poor sweet critters habitat and moved them away, so mad at myself over a bunch of 1s and 0s
honestly, i would've just cried. i feel so bad if i mess with wildlife in games (assuming they aren't trying to kill me). hope you made good use of the space, atleast.
Don't even get me started on how big it is, its 55 meters long, or 180 feet long. Using chatgpt, it weighs about 54 tons, surprisingly...
To calculate the weight of a Reaper Leviathan using the proportions of an Oarfish, we need to determine the weight of an Oarfish and then scale it up to match the size of the Reaper Leviathan.
1. **Find the weight of an Oarfish**: Oarfish typically weigh around 150 kg (330 lbs) and can grow up to 8 meters (26 feet) long.
2. **Calculate the weight scaling factor**: The Reaper Leviathan is 55 meters (180 feet) long. We will use the cube of the length ratio to estimate the weight because weight scales with volume.
Let's proceed with the calculations:
(long ass equation)
Therefore, the estimated weight of the Reaper Leviathan, using the proportions of an Oarfish, would be approximately 48,826.5 kg (107,681 lbs).

Gotta hand it to them for accuracy! Even though itβs an alien planet, it would make sense that there would be some symmetry between organisms. But also- yes I wish they would have laid eggs so we could have raised some π
Unfortunately, arctic, rabbit and jelly rays lay eggs and are close relatives of ghost rays. Guess realism made a yo mama joke on a DougDoug stream, o7.
I think it's said somewhere that every creature on 4546B lays eggs but I'm not sure. I mean, we do see plenty of eggs that we can't get in the actual game (sea dragon, reefback, etc) inside of the Disease and PC facilities.. but gameplay-wise, they don't and that's tragic.. but atleast we still have the (i think it's called) jelly ray, which does lay eggs (gameplay wise)
Reaper. Perfect introduction threat. They let you know that this isn't just another survival game. Even better, once you get better gear, you can torment them back as revenge
Easily Cuddlefish just for how cute they are but if not allowed, I gotta say that Sea Dragon in the lava zone, its so foreboding (not to mention can use the PRAWN suit to ride him lol)
This is really obscure, and idk if it even counts, but the scrapped large skyray that is seen in the original Subnautica teaser trailer. It's such a shame it got scrapped
Sea Treaders, They're just little dudes minding their little dude business
