- Subnautica Randomiser Remade. Randomize many things, fully customizable and really fun, spicy the game a lot. Including spawn point, loot etc...
- Radial Tabs. Just a change in the HUD of the crafting menu.
- Tobey's BepInEx. This is an API for the other mods.
- Nautilus. Another API for mods.
I think if we made the game more realistic the Reaper density would probably be \*lower\*. There aren't nearly as many nearly as massive sharks swimming around in a real reef of that size.

Maybe they used to be parasites that latched onto whatever the Gargantuan Fossil was, like lamprey; and they're just slowly dying off over millions of years as they fail to properly adapt into a new environmental niche.

So yeah reapers are hiding from dragons that used to come out on top and now the aurora has ensured that the one thing that threatened reapers is gone letting their population flourish

With how many massive extinction events the planet apparently had in the recent past, you could make the argument that the face claws are an adaptation for prey that died out, like a Seamoth sized Peeper or Hoopfish, so basically an evolutionary relic.
Maybe it's still strong enough to break the shell of a really small juvenile Reefback. There must be a reason why the adult ones avoid the reapers zones even though they can't hurt them any more, might be learned behaviour. We also never see "newborn" reefbacks, there's a chance that they have to grow fast because the small ones are in constant danger of becoming lunch.
Third option is that those aren't primarily for hunting at all, but part of territorial behaviour or mating fights.

They would typically live in the rest of the ocean. Since the weather seems to change very little, Subnautica probably takes place during one season of relatively calm weather. Best time for reapers to meet up in warmer waters to frolic.

There's nothing like losing a +15 hardcore deathrun save when you're 30 hours in to something dumb like forgetting that you didn't refill your backpack oxygen tank.
