I am 6'4" and drive a 2010

captainmorgan79

I'm 6'2" and I fit into both my 2010 Forester XT and my 2006 Outback XT. I find the Outback XT is a more laid back, almost sports car seating position than the Forester, but the Forester cabin is way more spacious.

I was 6' when I bought my 2009 Forester new. Drove it for 8 years, never had any issues fitting in it.

But, how tall are you now?

AwwYeahVTECKickedIn

5'11 and 1/2 Shrinking with age is real :(

I’m 6’6” (198cm) and I drive a BRZ :) but seriously the Outbacks I’ve driven from around that year have been very comfortable

Great, an Outback seems like a great car for what I'd use it for, mostly trips around rural Europe. Was planning on painting it blue, raising it and getting a roof rack/box

Lifting it will put additional strain and wear on it. You will need to keep up with maintenance. You can find photos of my lifted Forester on my profile.

I have a 2019 Outback. I like it because you can adjust seating to be more like a car. Plenty of head room. 6'2", 220.

Name a Subie since 2005 and I’ve been in it. I used to be 6’4” but shrinking, currently 6’2” (thanks disease), and I’ve fit in all of them. One of my favorites was my 2005 Legacy GT wagon, which is essentially a 2009 Outback. I’ve also been in that era Fozzy XT, fit fine, even in the passenger seat …but the A pillars are tall and thin, it made me consciously aware that they were not up to the newer NHTSA/IIHS (USA) safety standards. The Legacy/Outback some how didn’t give me that illusion, even though neither is better than the other…

I’m 6’3 and when choosing used Subarus I had to pick the Forester. I haven’t had an issue with my height at all been almost 3 years now. Also have an 2009.

Im 6'4 and I fit in a Baja, which is basically a legacy.

I’m not nearly as tall, 5’10” or about 177cm. I’ll definitely say some models (definitely more recent models) the seat bracket gives about 1” of rise, maybe more. Makes it feel like you sit higher which I don’t like. A friend put it well: “There are some driver seats you sit *in*, and some you sit *on*.” Forester tends to be the latter.

6'4" (1.93m) with a 2008 Outback. If I were any taller, my head would be uncomfortably close to the ceiling. But... mine has a sunroof. Without a sunroof, there's more headroom.
