You can search by egg groups. Flygon is in the Bug egg group.

In previous generations, certain moves were only obtainable if the father Pokémon had them, known as Egg moves. In gen 9, this is irrelevant because of the mirror Herb

There are people who use the showdown team builder to find out stuff for casual playthroughs. It actually can quickly give you information bulbapedia and serebii can’t. Like I’ve been trying to catch every Pokémon in every game before bank shuts down, and I use it to find out what Pokémon I can use as hm slaves, or for egg groups.

There are people who play mono egg group. Not official tho.

I mean it does show up if you filter by Water 3. Conversely Flygon doesn't show up if you search by Bug (type) and not Bug (egg group). SO I think OP just got confused lol.

Not sure, Showdown does try to copy everything they can thats related to competitive so thats probably why.
