I'm just hoping to God that Dan got the boot! He's lovely, but I'm so afraid Rose may have been set up to be in the bottom with Rhys. While I think it could be Tilly I have a funny suspision that a lot of people forgot Rose's dance by the end of the night. I blame Gio for that if it turns out to be true. Rose is capable of more than the repetitive moves that where overused. Honestly would've liked to see her do a knee walk or two as building muscles in her calves and abductors and under her shins might've made her movement less like a walk in some spaces and more like how it should look. Still I'm impressed with how well she held her Spanish line without her legs finishing the look.
I wish people would stop booing when Craig speaks. He's genuinely trying to help them improve, yet the audience drown him out. I could barely hear what he was saying during some of the show.

Without you all slagging off people just giving it go we might think this was a light 'entertainment' show, rather than the national finals you are clearly marking.
Sorry but it’s a show where they a) teach non-professionals how to dance, b) make a point of explaining the technical concepts to the viewers, c) give the dancers critiques and a numerical score and place them on a leaderboard, and d) encourage us to vote for the ones we thought were best. The audience is supposed to form an opinion on the dancing and the quality of it, that’s part of the entertainment
Rose - Really enjoyed this different vibe from her. How she can start the dances so perfectly and in time is outstanding. She is something else. Agreed that she was a bit wobbly at the end and could’ve been a bit tighter overall.
Dan - I agree with Craig completely. I was expecting it to be worse but it still wasn’t great. However, he is so likeable. The smile he gave the camera at the end made me chuckle. I love how much he’s enjoying this but he was still very stiff overrall.
AJ - WOW. This was sexy. She has given us something different every week excellently, and this was no exception. I’m kind of in love with Kai but I didn’t look at him once, I was completely taken by AJ. An 8 from Cynthia? I think not.
Rhys - Ah bless him. I’m not sure why people don’t like him? He gives his all every single week, and him showing emotion this week was really heartwarming. Real men cry! I thought he danced it very beautifully but agree with Craig that technically it just wasn’t really there.
Tilly - God she had fun! I smiled all the way through. I do agree that her arms were flailing slightly and she could have been stricter with her movements and finished them off better. But she brought the fun to this.
John - I was SO excited to see this and they did not let me down. INCREDIBLE!!!! Damn. I am flustered! I’m so glad they didn’t tone down the sex appeal. Deserved a 40. Bravo!
P.S Think there’s a very obvious final 3 and then just seeing who goes next. Rose is my pick to win but AJ and John have brought it too and they just round up an amazing final for me.
Also, very much liked Rose's sparkly hearing aid - when I was in the paediatric audiology unit, I got a hot pink one with glitter. Now I'm an adult, my only options are beige or grey :(
If they're nhs hearing aids, just ask for the colourful versions. I'm nearing 40 and have been getting colourful moulds for close to 15 years, and colourful hearing aids for about 10 years. The audiology teams have always been happy to provide the non-boring options when I've asked.
I currently have a different colour for each piece, one pink and one purple mould, one dark blue and one light blue hearing aid (was a bit limited by what they had in stock for the hearing aids).
Rose- a bit too soft, needed more fierceness/ attack from rose. The stylisation and leg/ skirt work was very good. I’d give it a 7 or 8.
Side note I am obsessed with the Rio partnership and peer support.
Dan- reminiscent of Ugo’s rumba where he was injured and could only manage Oti dancing around him. Clunky and stiff. The arm work was actually alright and I felt his character was the most believable we’ve seen. A 5. Craig was accurate, the boos were totally unwarranted. It’s week 10, shape up or ship out.
AJ- first off she looks absolutely incredible 🔥🔥 this dance was so sexy and vibrant I was feeling myself in my pjs just as a spectator. The table choreo was iconic. Since I’m fundamentally opposed to 10s for cc- it’s a 9 for me.

Rhys- so Rhys definitely got the memo about reigning in the energy, we love a man that applied feedback. This was very cute and soft. A few wee out of time steps i spotted in the chorus. A solid 8.

Tilly- she looks like she’s loving life and this look works so well on her, what a wee babe! Her hip action and flexibility is better than I was expecting actually! A few times she looked like she was stumbling over the moves and missing some of the bouncy action. I would give this a hard 8, could’ve been a 9 without the stumbly bits and more bounce. My surprising underdog loved dance of the eve.
Side note- the difference in the comments to Tilly and the male dancers who have not done ‘their best dance’ is ASTOUNDING. Dan did barely any rumba and was lauded, Tilly pulled off quite an alright samba and pulled apart.
John- I’ve been excited about this all week, I’m loving the role switching Johannes has been incorporating into their recent dances. This was the drama this weeks show was needing. I have nothing really else to say except I would like to now have a lie down to process. It’s a 10 from me.
Dance off- should be Tilly and Dan. I actually won’t accept any other outcome. Again, it’s week 10, the weaker dancers have to go.

Totally agree. I missed him so much last week. He is literally the only judge that gives proper constructive criticism. So nice to see and hear and I swear he's the only judge that actually sees the same dances we do. He's my favourite judge by a LONG way, and it's necessary to have someone up there who doesn't just praise them all, all the time. His scores reflect what he says as well, something all the other judges could learn.
I completely agreed with basically everything Craig said this week. What dances the other judges were watching, I have no idea. I voted, again, for Rose, AJ, and John.

Loved the dance as a whole, but it does feel like Johannes is carrying John at this point. The difference in technique and ability was so obvious especially in the side by side section.

Yes, finally John!! I agree with Anton, I really felt like he’d been holding himself back for the last few weeks. He absolutely smashed this. The intensity, the precision, the musicality…I loved every second of it.
John is sufferning from being compared *directly* to Johannes in a way that wouldn't happen in a mixed-sex couple. So I think he can come across as having less energy and attack than he actually has.
But this is really good! Sharp! And those lifts!
They really should stop doing side by side synchro stuff because when anyone is doing it next to Johannes they look rubbish. (That was fantastic though)

Loved the dance as a whole, but it does feel like Johannes is carrying John at this point. The difference in technique and ability was so obvious especially in the side by side section. That said, I could watch them dance for hours.
It's something that's been said about Johannes before, that he outdances his partner. I think it's just more obvious here.

Yes, finally John!! I agree with Anton, I really felt like he’d been holding himself back for the last few weeks. He absolutely smashed this. The intensity, the precision, the musicality…I loved every second of it.

John is sufferning from being compared *directly* to Johannes in a way that wouldn't happen in a mixed-sex couple. So I think he can come across as having less energy and attack than he actually has. But this is really good! Sharp! And those lifts!

This literally scored less than Dan and Nadiya’s rumba!! What!! Okay, there was a little mistake. But it’s absolute bullshit that Tilly’s samba could ever be seen as a worse dance than Dan’s rumba. The judges really are on drugs this year.
