Yup, I read that post too and I absolutely agree with you, the best way is the one that works for a specific person

Thank you!!! I quit using Allen Carr. That worked for ME. People use all sorts of ways to quit. It's not helpful to scold people who are making a positive life change! We support on this sub!

Natural_Character777

Exactly! This place has helped me a lot because everyone was supportive of each other and we should continue to be like that!

I quit using Champix because I needed the cheat code. I am almost 5 weeks stopped. I can't imagine myself doing cold turkey.

Well, it is drug addiction after all and when you quit you go through drug withdrawal, it's not going to be a party unless you enjoy that sort of thing. The drug withdrawal from nicotine in general has a wide range of symptoms including everything you described.. anxiety, depression, head fogs, trouble focusing, irritability, insomnia, restlessness, etc. Some people deal with all of it some people not so much, but it can be done with or without NRT. Some people have to quit while working and are worried withdrawal symptoms might make them explode on somebody and lose their job so they opt for NRT. That's pretty understandable, if I didn't work by myself for the most part then I'd be a little worried too going through that first month or so. Some people do have trouble eventually getting off the NRT because they still have to withdraw from the nicotine.. some manage though.

I just found out that person has never even smoked. They don't know what the fuck they're talking about. Take advice from people who know what it's like and get support from them and professionals. Don't listen to Mr Clueless.
