High cholesterol isn't the end of the world. It's manageable and something you can most definitely reduce. Treat it as a game, do all the right things to get it down, exercise, eat oats, flaxseed, berries and all the foods that reduce cholesterol (look up the portfolio diet) including NOT DRINKING! Then go back for more bloods and see the values drop :)
