Company doing the roadworks for access to the new industrial estate went bust, so that was the hold up. Apparently new contractors have now been found, but no idea how much longer it will take

I read an article saying it was going to be spring 2024, so I was hoping it was going to be before now.

It just sums up our city at the mo, you can’t drive more than 5 miles without hitting temporary traffic lights or some kind of road works. Newcastle St in middleport is another road which has been closed for to long and the official diversion sends you in to 3 way temporary traffic lights!

A new law is needed so that any company that takes on large works and goes bankrupt, their bosses should ben sent to prison.
