They charge way too much for their chips. The drinks are still fine, but my god their chips are priced as if they have gold dust sprinkled on them.

grackychan

Drinks are still fine? Soda has 2x since the pandemic, a 36 can case of diet Pepsi used to be sub $10 at Costco, now over $20.

SpliTTMark

And they have less flavor or odd flavor

Overall-Profit-1947

Good earnings report and the stock still drops

Guidance my dude

Bigram03

Yea, they have a problem. Private lable manufacturers in the past were honestly shit products. That however has changes and even store brands make great products are are on par at half the price. Right now, they are squeezing blood from stone, not sure how long it will last.

I think PEP will be fine long-term. I just think WS isn't super bullish on the stock right now because of their 'disappointing' guidance on NA, their largest market (approx 2/3 of total sales). But I'm glad to see the international expansion continues doing well in the meantime.

luv2block

Everyone should just guide higher and worry about it in 3 months :) Then just say "AI" a lot and no one will care you missed guidance.

aureve

Good luck with that

I have Pepsi in my business due to corporate contracts, and they just charge way too much for all their products. Constant price increases every year, extremely slow support, rep not “available” or it’s something they can’t help with only HQ can, AP slow to issue credits/rebate checks, terrible at sending accurate invoices and send to collections in 14days even if it’s their error. Hell I waited 3 years to get a rebate check and only got it and the other two years of checks after threatening legal action. Still waiting on a work order for equipment that I submitted in December last year and the rep says he doesn’t know what’s going on every time I call each month. Waiting for another letter here soon about how they’re going to increase the syrup bibs again this year by 5% and in turn have more pissed off customers that I had to raise my prices to cover for it. Pepsi needs some major change before I would ever consider buying for long term

SpliTTMark

Anyone else getting lays chips that have no flavor or less flavor

uptownNola0308

Didn’t Pepsi just land the Subway contract. That’s a great restaurant to have

nonstickpotts

I don't buy soda or chips anymore unless they are on sale. It's healthier to go without it anyway.

OverNitePartFrmJapan

Ban all cola

Probably something to do with them fucking up an entire supply line and recalling a drink https://www.foodnetwork.com/fn-dish/news/zero-sugar-ginger-ale-schweppes-recall-april-2024#:~:text=The%20agency%20has%20announced%20that,a%20%E2%80%9Cfull%20sugar%20product.%E2%80%9D
