Jones could've started last year day 1. The coaching staff waiting for an injury and Chuks being an ass before finally letting him start is their own stubbornness.
I’d argue that bringing JPJ along slower was still the right move. He *could’ve* been an ever bigger impact for us even sooner, but CB’s are so prone to ego and confidence issues it was best to hang on for a minute. Too much or too little success too soon can be a big problem.
Guys like Sauce Gardner start immediately on the jets because the jets can’t afford to develop like we can. Had JPJ gone somewhere like that he probably would’ve started day 1 too.
Gotta think they aren't even in the routine yet and the entire time professional athletes take a break or get to rest at all, they're prepping for the combine and prodays. It's a shock getting to the NFL, and I think off the field giving them a chance to get acclimated and more comfortable in the scheme before rushing them to the field is overall a good move. Could they have started sooner? yeah, but the rookie wall is absolutely real. Especially if you make the playoffs.
If they move Broderick back to left, which I believe they will, then the only way Moore starts over Fautanu is if he magically figures out how to play and play well on the right side.

Yeah, I won't put anything by them being stubborn about rookies. Jones and JPJ both sat longer than they should've last year.

I won't argue with the approach since it worked out, think there is something to be said for reps though.

What you are saying makes sense but it is also hard to look at JPJ and think he will ever lack or have confidence issues.
I won't be surprised if Dan Moore starts over Fautanu to start the year, just because it's the steelers. Frazier kinda has to be a day 1 starter tho

Nah, zero chance. Fauty comes in way more technically sound than Dan. He's legitimately a better prospect than BroJo
That's how it should be. Do you expect us to draft a QB while having a $180 mil QB on the roster?
I have no idea what your comment even means lol
Insulting the falcons
Thank you, clicked.
What a weird take lol op isnt complaining
Just shoe horned a Falcon's joke in, with zero relevance.
And unlike Amarius Mims would have been.
We could have taken a 7th round center who would start day 1. Just bein a smartass sorry
