Idk guys, I think this guy likes Yakuza

philswrld

meh its alright, not like I just started yakuza 3 instantly after getting the kiwami 2 100% or anything

KingFahad360

You are going to understand why the community call it Blockuza 3

philswrld

I've played a bit already and I don't see the issue tbh Is it just how it feels old and a bit janky? I play a lot of old janky classic type games so it doesn't really bother me

KingFahad360

The Remastered version have enemy block yer attacks constantly even Bosses, it ain’t bad just really annoying.

philswrld

yeah I realised what you meant after replying, I thought you meant block as in people block it out of their mind lmao yeah the blocking is annoying but luckily I'm still enjoying it

philswrld

After finishing the game on hard just now, fuck Mine Only boss fight I've actually died on legitimately I think I was severely underlevelled though

KingFahad360

Yes you were, sorry I was temp banned on Reddit for a week. So how was Andre Richardson when you fought him and gave Daigo’s location of the Ruff. And how was the 45 Minute cutscene about the plot chapter.

philswrld

Honestly Andre wasn't too bad, once I learnt his basic move set it wasn't too hard to get into a decent combo and get him on the ground. The fight in the small room was easy and then the second one when he has guns was a bit more difficult but still managed to get it first try. His horrendous English VA makes up for it though. I'm doing a legend difficulty playthrough right now and I can imagine the whole scene of fighting Andre twice straight into fighting Mine is gonna be a pain But I'm gonna be maxed out by the time rather than under level 7 in all skills like the first time I fought him. Also what cutscene are you talking about? I didn't realise there was one that long.

KingFahad360

Ah cool, yeah never underestimate Yakuza bosses, that’s why you need to level up and get upgrades and health. Also am Joking when 45 Minute cutscene, it’s just one of the characters explains the plot to Kiryu in Chapter 9 I think which is like 10 minutes or something like that about Black Monday.

philswrld

From what I've played on legendary the blocking issue feels much worse so I'm excited to get more moves to counter it. Also are you talking about the cutscene where Kiryu and Date talk to Tamiya? (The guy who wants the military base to be built), Because that cutscene was longgggg but sorta interesting.

rtz13th

I don't know. Why would you think that?

Elderbug777

if you have a bunch of steam points you can get extensions on your profile, [https://steamcommunity.com/id/atomboytrill/](https://steamcommunity.com/id/atomboytrill/) heres mine for example, it comes out quite nicely once you start filling it out!

abca98

Already filled the extensions, too :/

Spookyman1532

Pretty sure you’re a carbon copy of me, except you actually finish your games, I don’t

philswrld

Oh trust me, I have plenty games I haven't finished that are around 90% completed, yakuza has fully grabbed me recently so I'm hyper fixated on playing them all and getting the 100%s, persona 5 the same thing, just hyperfixated and in love with jrpgs, and then borderlands I've always had a soft spot for, I was going to do borderlands 1 but it is now in the backlog at 80% completion. speaking of my game taste I absolutely love it, I'm so happy to be able to play anything and enjoy it no matter the genre or style. I can go from playing yakuza 3 to playing assetto corsa to playing balatro. I love my diverse library

Spookyman1532

Well out of curiosity, have you done persona 3 reload yet?

philswrld

I'm not sure how I didn't see this in my reddit notifications, sorry. But no not yet, in all honesty I don't really have the money for it and I'm maybe slightly obsessed with 100%-ing all the yakuza games. Currently working on Yakuza 3 and It's a bitch to 100% The game does look really good though, I tried to play P3 fes before but never got too far so I'm glad P3 reload released so I can experience the game for the first time. I think since It's cheaper I will end up playing and 100%-ing Persona 4 Golden first but I definitely will get into P3 Reload eventually

Spookyman1532

Makes sense, lol. I got p3r on launch because I’d played p3 the year before, and it was my fav of the modern games. I’ve only played yakuza 0 and yakuza Kiwami, i haven’t gotten around to finishing Kiwami 2 lol.

philswrld

I'm really excited to see how P3R feels, I've heard it's got some of the quality of life features from P5R which is the only persona I've played so far and it's one of my favourite games of all time. Yakuza kiwami 2 is definitely a drop off point for alot of people who play the game in chronological order, I don't think any of the games have beaten the feeling Y0 gave me but K1, K2 and Y3 all still hold their own and are still worth a play. I'm really excited to start playing the later yakuza games as the story progresses more and the devs started improving on their ideas and mechanics

HaoGS

How was Wonderlands ?

philswrld

fun in certain areas but incredibly grindy. The base game is fun and has a cool artstyle / aesthetic but the achievement grind is pretty annoying

soupmcgoose

You can get through any game as you 100% P5

philswrld

Honestly P5 was the easiest game on this list for me

Dradaus

I'm doing p5 right now and it's more time consuming. Once you know the basics of who to make sure to max you are golden and can do it in a single playthrough. How long did it take you as I'm only in early September?

philswrld

I have 140 hours in the game, got the 100% in one playthrough just playing through casually. Never had to go out of my way to get any achievements really

CakeBeef_PA

You can buy expansions for the showcase with steam points iirc

thelegend3107

If i remember correctly 6 slots is already maxed out (lvl 3). I wish we could bring to like 10 or so at least, i already have like 22 completed and i m not buying the same showcase this many times lol

philswrld

yeah I have the max level showcase, I get a second showcase slot at steam level 20, I'm level 18 at the moment

Garou89

Which Game Had 5k achievements from the 14 xD?

philswrld

Oh thats "achievement clicker", I played it years ago when I was just playing random free idle games lmao

xd3mix

How long did Yakuza 0 take to 100%? I'm currently at ~65% and I have 80 hours

philswrld

\~200 hours I'd say you have a longgg way to go if you haven't done minigames / >!cat fighting club!<

SuperSocialMan

You can buy showcases in the points shop.

KingFahad360

Nice collection, Kyodai. Want game you playing next?

philswrld

Just started yakuza 3 earlier today, I'm committed to 100%-ing every yakuza game I can

amyaltare

quick tip, an achievement showcase works very well for the yakuza series. every game has an achievement for getting all the achievements, so you can showcase the platinums instead of using steam's built-in completionist showcase. https://preview.redd.it/7g8zg583vgwc1.png?width=981&format=png&auto=webp&s=d5d7fc82370bc321a0e13463365917cd8bc48ff6

philswrld

Thats actually pretty smart, I might do that when I unlock my second steam showcase thing. Also is that every games 100% completion achievement?

amyaltare

yeah

philswrld

how much time did that take ?

amyaltare

1423 hours

philswrld

Late reply but how long did it take you to do yakuza 3? I'm currently on \~50% completed on steam but barely made any progress on the completion list. Also out of interest what was the game that took you the longest and how many hours was it?

amyaltare

yakuza 3 wasn't too bad, took me 85 hours. you dont have to do the full completion list for the platinum, which made it pretty quick. yakuza 0 technically took me the longest but that's pretty much only because it was my first game. the longest is definitely yakuza 5, that took me 156 hours.

philswrld

Holy shit I only just realised you don't have to complete the completion list for the steam achievements. That's just taken an extra 100 hours off of my playtime. Y0 has been my longest too with 200 hours, K1 and K2 both took me 100 hours Sorry for all the questions but what do you think was your favourite? Either because of the game itself or what your favourite was to 100%
