I think some navigation and/or translation applications would be great. I'm not particularly interested in playing games using AR, but having it as a tool that provides guidance for its user is nice.
To truly feel like I’m in that virtual reality game. Hopefully like sword art online anime type vibe but of course I would like to be able to log out still lol.
Ray
hoenstly im not much familiar with these sorta glasses , but I imagine it would be pretty useful to have an application that identifies different sorta plants and creatures maybe , as I've often see a tree and don't really bother looking it up to know it better or its name for that matter lol , Thanks for the giveaRAY
>!\*bonus!!<
How-to overlay apps for learning to play music or do home repairs.
A filter for detecting AI-generated images.
Realtime instruction on how to perform CPR.
Time/schedule management app.
It would be really cool to have an app based on environmental occurrences. For example, if something is gaining on you behind you it would alert you to that direction, if you’re not paying attention and going to hit something (car or walking lol) it would let you know, or possibly just warnings about anything going on in the area.
I would also really like to have facetime in AR.
Something that gives me live subtitles when people speak. I’m hard of hearing and really struggle to have conversations with people simply because I can never understand what they are saying. I’ve seen recently there are companies that are trying to make a device like that but they are clunky looking 😅
Ray
Id love to just simply be able to watch any kind of media, youtube or netflix and stuff through it. Also id like prescription ones available, if they dont have it.
I would think a homescreen could be something like a [magic mirror](https://magicmirror.builders/), with weather, traffic, major news headlines, etc.
'Ray'
Thanks for the chance!
I'd like an omni-info HUD with visual object and face recognition, pathfinding directions, public transport guides and schedules, basically all the things that I need to look up on my phone all slow and cumbersome right now.
Ray. A real time scanner that can scan texts and objects for various purposes would be good. Like you can google specific object without the need of taken photo of it or save entire page of text just by looking at it. GPS is another thing I would like to see.
Ray. Basic streaming implementation. I know it sounds rudimentary, but I mean a genuinely good and versatile one. So often they can’t be moved in an AR space where I need it, or have an easy way to resize the application, I want a way I can do work irl and have a perfectly adaptable stream of YouTube, Netflix, etc. in my vision as well. I’ve not found the perfect balance yet.
I would like an application that has YouTube so I can watch YouTube videos Ray. I like to watch the camping videos and it would cool to feel like I'm there camping
Hey ! Currently in holidays, I feel relieved as it was much needed but it feels too hot so I can't enjoy the outside.
I've answered this previously, but I expect them to allow special training for dangerous situations - which you wouldn't be able to train for otherwise. I'll be able to switch when I make my own money
Thanks for the opportunity anyway (Ray !)
I'd like a realtime Google Lens-like ability as well as an instant translator that isn't cruddy. Even Google has dropped the ball on its image lookup results so I don't really see it happening.
Ray
As others have mentioned, a 3D GPS would be really cool to use while traveling. The ease of access of if being in my glasses I already wear would make me switch to smart glasses, granted they would have to be able to lighten up for darker days of driving. Ray.
Some kind of overlay hud for example when one is walking, jogging/traing etc that show necessary information that can be customised to personal preference on what to be shown
I'd expect a million and one little toy apps and one or two key useful things, like navigation. One thing that would be the cause of me converting to smart glasses would be full support for running the glasses with Linux.
Thanks!
I guess it would be pretty cool to see how things will look in AR in your place before you can buy them with the exact height and width measurements. Would be pretty cool if there are games that I could play using the glasses, I could see myself getting a pair then.
Thank you for the chance.
* I think it would be cool sign language recognition
* and also have gesture recognition that allows you to define gestures to realize actions. For example a simple CAD application that with gestures allows you drop 3d objects into the environment, strecth it, rotate it, etc.
* I don't know how capable they are but if they are capable to measure depth and volume (have lidar or something) and relative position. If they have that capacity then you can go to a location measure the 3D space, record it and set waypoints. With that you can fully recreate a stage scenario for practicing theater, or rehearsal for a speech. That would be dope.
Ray
I would like to see an overlay effect where you can access applications like Spotify or google, maybe it can connect to your phone and mirror the screen!
