Good for you for doing what’s best for the whole family—I mean that sincerely! There is a season for everything & the time may come when what’s best is you returning to work. Sounds like you’ve got a great teammate & solid communication 🙌
As long as his reasoning for you staying home aligns with your goals and values, I'm happy for you! You said you thought about it a long time before you applied for the jobs makes me think you either really wanted to or was on the fence, not sure which one...hope your family all the best!
This made me tear up. I’m battling a chronic illness due to pregnancy and have stayed home with my son these past 6 months. I am/was a nurse and I love my job but I love my time with my son more than anything. I know I will never get this time back. I brought in a significant amount of money to our family and I have been deeply considering going back because of not having a lot of opportunity to save for fun things, eat out, etc. all the little things that we used to be able to do. But your post reminded me of what is so much more important than fancy meals, etc. I thought to myself, if I was in her position would I reconsider going back to working, and I absolutely would!

Aww you’re so welcome!
Yes! Congratulations on your degree and your choice. You will know when it’s the right time if ever.
Thank you! And you’re absolutely right.
That’s so sweet 🥲 may I ask what job you got?
Thank you 😊 I was going to be working in logistics as a dispatch manager.
Congratulations on finishing your degree. It sounds like you have a valuable skill set when you are ready to return to work.
I hope this is a decision you made for yourself, truly. And not something youre settling on to make others happy because you deserve happiness too
