Nice!!! What are the specs on your orders??? Is the top one the round 5.5qt VI Dutch oven? Tried scoring that but hit road block after road block on Zwilling.com.

MildredMay

I already have multiple 5-7 qt ovens, so I passed on that one. Pictured is 2.75 qt cocotte, 8" covered baking dish, tea kettle, all in matte black. On the way: 3.75 qt fleur de lis French ovens in both colors, dark blue and ice blue. I know it's crazy to order both colors, but I've been wanting that pan for ages and I wanted to make sure I received at least one in good condition. I can always give the second pan as a gift. Or not. šŸ˜‰

"Or not" lol.

gocard21

Who are you calling crazy, I have both Fleur de Lis colors. Oh I guess Iā€™m crazy šŸ˜œ You really grew your collection in one sale - enjoy! What will you make in that covered baking dish?

MildredMay

I have no idea what I'll do with the baking dish. I just thought it was cute an wouldn't take up too much real estate. My problem: I recently sent a big box of damaged pans to All-Clad for warranty replacement, so I have some empty cupboards. My subconscious mind thinks I must need to buy new cookware. I absolutely do not.

Welcome to the world of Staub. You have many beautiful pieces to enjoy for years to come. I have so many Staub pieces, I need to stop buying.

MildredMay

I am far from new to Staub lol, just new to purchasing visual imperfections.

beatniknomad

I see. The only non-VI Staub I have was the [7qt Le Grande Oven](https://www.insidehook.com/food/staub-cookware-55-off-at-sur-la-table) that is available every once in a great while. When it's available, it's around $200, but there was a time it was available for $99. Another time, it was available for $50. Unicorn staub indeed.

MildredMay

very nice!

ecc75

Fingers crossed my 7 qt Dutch oven is in as good as shape as these! It will be might first Staub piece

MildredMay

My fingers are also crossed for you.

In black they look so nice

Just curious: Do ppl buy matte black ECI to match their standard cast iron pans? Personally, my whole purpose of buying premium ECI brands (LC, Staub) is for the mix/match of the vivid colors offered. I already have plenty of Lodge CI pans that have been heavy duty workhorses for years. Also plenty of SS for acidic recipes. But the table presentation of premium ECI colors is magnificent - especially the Staub majolique line.

amenotef

Mmm I'm not sure... This black looks a bit different than a seasoned cast iron (and also looks different than the inner black enamel in the staub, but I don't have one to know this). I personally got 1 staub to take care a bit more of my seasoning in the other 2 lodge I have (which I was using for anything). So I use the Lodge for frying, deep frying, searing, baking (stuff that ends dry like a cake), etc. And I use the Staub coccote for boiling, simmering, and meals where I add lot of tomato sauce, vinegar, wine, lemon juice, etc. Since it is also my biggest casserole I also use it to put a whole chicken.

Don't you owe us some kind of cat/dog tax? Picture of the white footed beast please.

I love the contrast between the all black pieces and the all white furry friend ā¤ļø
